Fortnite has revealed that the Grammy-winning musical artist Bruno Mars will be headlining Season 9 of the popular game mode Fortnite Festival, which is scheduled to begin on June 18. Fortnite is currently wrapping up its major collaboration with hit artist Sabrina Carpenter, who headlined Season 8 of Fortnite Festival.

June 18 is shaping up to be a big day for players, as Epic Games will also be releasing its new LEGO Fortnite Expeditions game mode alongside the debut of Fortnite Festival Season 9. LEGO Fortnite Expeditions is meant to be an action-packed PvE experience that allows players to group up and take down spires, defeat villains, and save the citizens of Utopia City. Recent leaks suggested that Deadmau5 might be the next Fortnite Festival artist, though it appears he will actually be featured in a collaboration with Rocket League. This isn’t the first time Bruno Mars has collaborated with Fortnite, as he already has a skin that came to the game’s Item Shop as part of a crossover with Silk Sonic.

As part of the collaboration, Bruno Mars will be receiving a cosmetic bundle in the Item Shop, which will stick around for the duration of the season. The debut of Season 9 will also come with a whole new Music Pass filled with songs and fresh cosmetics for players to unlock.

Gamers can purchase the Music Pass for 1,400 V-Bucks, though it’s also included with the Fortnite Crew subscription at no additional cost. Epic Games also mentioned that when gamers set their lobby music to “Random,” songs will actually rotate. Currently, even when set to “Random,” the same song will play on loop while sitting in the lobby. With so much content to enjoy and even more just around the corner, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
