Video Shows Delivery Man Throwing a Nintendo Switch 2

A customer eagerly awaiting the delivery of their Nintendo Switch 2 was recently shocked by their delivery driver, who was caught on camera thoughtlessly throwing the package at the player’s front door. Just over a week after the system’s launch, some fans are still awaiting their Switch 2 consoles to arrive, with one gamer narrowly avoiding disaster.

Despite the initial controversy surrounding the console’s price tag, the Nintendo Switch 2 has been a monumental success, becoming the fastest-selling home video console of all time following its June 5 launch. The hybrid hardware sold over 3.5 million units globally in its first four days, an incredible feat when considering that Valve’s Steam Deck handheld has only sold between four and five million units since its initial release in 2022. While positive reviews for both the system and its games continue to roll in, some anxious gamers are just now getting their hands on the Switch 2, with one sharing a sordid tale on social media.

New Nintendo Switch 2 Exclusive Announced for Fall 2025

A new exclusive game for Nintendo Switch 2 is announced, and players will soon revisit an adventure that’s getting a new breath of life.

In a recent post made to the Switch 2 subreddit, user marcf747 shared Ring doorbell footage of a delivery driver carelessly tossing their Nintendo Switch 2 towards the stoop. According to the customer, they had ordered the Switch 2 from Target and were eager to spend some time with the new console following recent surgery. The driver in question tossed the package on hard brick, denting the box and potentially causing damage to the system. Thankfully, marcf747 confirmed that the console was unharmed, though many in the post’s comments called upon them to report the driver for their actions. This isn’t the first time that negligence has been reported during the most recent Nintendo launch, with some GameStop customers reporting damaged Switch 2 consoles after employees stapled pre-order receipts to the system’s box, damaging the system’s screen.

The new Switch 2 features have been a hit with audiences so far, including the GameChat feature, improved graphics, and larger memory when compared to its predecessor. Unfortunately, one frustrating issue with the original Switch has already reared its ugly head on the new hardware, with some users reporting Joy-Con stick drift on the Nintendo Switch 2. Thankfully, Nintendo is offering free repairs or replacements for affected controllers, regardless of whether a user has a warranty.

Players have been enjoying the Nintendo Switch 2’s launch titles, including the first-party juggernaut Mario Party World and other third-party ports like Yakuza 0 Director’s Cut and Street Fighter 6. Several major titles are on the horizon for the new console, including Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment, Kirby Air Riders, and Donkey Kong Bananza, with the latter scheduled to be released soon, on July 17.
