The Helldivers 2 community has united to improve its user reviews by reverse-review bombing the game on Steam. This is a response to PlayStation’s region lock on many of its games on PC being lifted, including Helldivers 2.
Since its release last year, the Helldivers 2 reviews have been on an interesting journey. Helldivers 2 has been review-bombed on several occasions for various reasons, with players using it as a way to show their displeasure at both Sony and Arrowhead Game Studios. However, whenever either company changes course, the community is equally rigorous in changing its reviews to reflect when the game is heading in a more positive direction.

Helldivers 2 Players Are Giving Positive Reviews After PlayStation U-Turn
In Helldivers 2‘s case in particular, Steam is still showing eight regions where the game is unable to be sold: Belarus, Cuba, Iran, Japan, North Korea, Russia, Syria, and Vietnam, although it’s unknown whether this remains down to PlayStation’s choice or other factors entirely. Regardless, the game is now available in far more regions than previously, leading some to ask whether players will finally get their hands on the missing Helldivers 2 review-bomb cape.
Despite some high-profile blunders, Helldivers 2 has largely proven to be an example of live-service done right, and proof of what is possible when a talented studio has a great vision for its game in the long term. Helldivers 2‘s recent Battle of Super Earth event is a great example of this, engaging players by having them defend various Mega Cities across the planet from the Illuminate forces. If Helldivers 2 can serve up more events like this going forward, then the game is set for a very prosperous future.
