June 16 is Going to Be a Huge Day For RuneScape

Jagex has revealed that RuneScape‘s 110 Crafting update is set to arrive on June 16. This marks the first level cap raise for the RuneScape skill, which has been a key part of the game since its release over 24 years ago.

Despite being over two decades old now, RuneScape continues to go from strength to strength. Across both RuneScape 3 and Old School RuneScape, the popular MMO retains an extremely healthy community of players. It is one of the oldest MMOs still online today, and it’s interesting to see the changes that Jagex has made to keep players interested after all this time.

June 17 is Going to Be a Big Day for RuneScape Dragonwilds

Developer Jagex reveals important new details about RuneScape: Dragonwilds, making June 17 a day players definitely won’t want to miss.

In a post on the RuneScape website, Jagex detailed the 110 Crafting update, which is set to launch on June 16. This will raise the level cap of RuneScape‘s Crafting skill to 110 from 99, while adding tons of new content for high-level players to enjoy. The Crafting Guild will undergo an overhaul, and a new crafting process will be introduced that will make it possible to create a new set of armor called Starbloom Armour. Players will go through a multi-step process to create this armor set, which can be improved multiple times, as with crafted gear in Smithing. Platinum-tier jewelry has also been added, which can be enchanted for extra effects.

RuneScape 3’s 110 Crafting Update Releases on June 16

The update was initially revealed in RuneScape‘s 2025 roadmap, and it seems to have arrived right on schedule. Crafting is one of the oldest skills in RuneScape history, having arrived just a few months after the game’s January 2001 release. However, according to the RuneScape high scores, there are over 213,000 players who have achieved 99 in the skill, so it’s definitely a good time to raise the level cap at this point.

While RuneScape and Old School RuneScape continue to receive regular content from Jagex, the developer is also busy with RuneScape: Dragonwilds, its new Early Access survival game set in the same universe. RuneScape: Dragonwilds is making big strides of its own in recent updates, although it still has a long way to go before it can be placed on a pedestal with its predecessors.
