Major QoL Features, Game Improvements, and Balancing Changes Coming to 7 Days to Die

While the highlight of the new Storm’s Brewing V2.0 update will naturally be the major progression changes coming to biomes, there are a variety of additional QoL features and general game improvements that are also coming in this update that players can look forward to. Most notably, this update will be introducing 50 new quest POIs in 7 Days to Die, along with some improvements to existing POIs. The new POIs coming in the Storm’s Brewing update will have a particular focus on introducing more wilderness-themed POIs and making remnant POIs (non-quest locations) more common for the sake of improving performance.

POIs often make for the perfect foundation for building a base in 7 Days to Die, though players should be sure to place a land claim block to prevent trader quests from spawning in the POI and removing any player-made structures.

There are also some major balancing changes coming to players’ perks in 7 Days to Die. In the Storm’s Brewing Update, a new General attribute category is being added, while the existing perks and attributes will all have their levels rounded out to have the same number of levels, respectively. On top of this, several of the existing perks are being improved, and new perks are being added to most Attribute categories.

New Weather Effects and Zombie Types Make Each Biome in 7 Days to Die Feel Unique

Overall, the Storm’s Brewing V2.0 update will forever change the way players progress, putting a greater emphasis on exploring the different biomes in 7 Days to Die in order of their difficulty, instead of jumping into the late-game biomes early on for an easy headstart on earning better loot. While players could previously ignore the debuffs associated with the biome-specific weather conditions, the newly reworked weather effects and Dynamic Severe Storms coming in this update will pose a much greater threat that players won’t want to avoid.

On top of the new weather effects, there will also be new zombies in 7 Days to Die that will be specific to certain biomes and game stages. So, while the new caps on loot for each biome will still encourage players to progress to reach the endgame biomes as soon as possible, the new zombie types and weather effects will make it much harder to do so.
