Hogwarts Legacy was set nearly 100 years before the events of Harry Potter, and if Hogwarts Legacy 2 picks up where it left off, Harry, Ron, and Hermione have no chance of appearing directly in the sequel. That said, considering the fact that Warner Bros. has confirmed a connection between Hogwarts Legacy 2 and the Harry Potter HBO series, players may see some familiar faces like Professor Dumbledore, McGonagall, Flitwick, or even a young Lord Voldemort in the game.

Even if that’s not the case, there is plenty of shared background lore in Harry Potter and Hogwarts Legacy 2; they exist in the same universe, after all. The history of the Wizarding World is rich, and since trivia is already supposed to be about knowledge only a few people would know off the top of their heads, it works out.
