Marvel Cosmic Invasion has unveiled two more playable heroes at Summer Game Fest 2025: Rocket Raccoon and She-Hulk. Dotemu, the publisher behind nostalgia-fueled beat-em-ups like Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder’s Revenge and the upcoming Ninja Gaiden: Rebound, announced a new Marvel sidescroller back in March. Marvel Cosmic Invasion sees Earth threatened by the evil Annihilus and his alien legions, prompting some of Marvel’s greatest heroes to jump into action.

There will be 15 playable heroes in Marvel Cosmic Invasion, with seven of them revealed in the game’s initial launch trailer. So far, Captain America, Spider-Man, Venom, Wolverine, Storm, Nova, and Phyla-Vell are playable characters in Marvel Cosmic Invasion, and the bulk of them are already well-known to fans of the Marvel comics, games, and movies. Still, there are plenty of roster slots left to go, and fans can now add two more superheroes to the growing Marvel Cosmic Invasion lineup.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion has only revealed a fraction of its launch roster, which leaves plenty of room for speculation on who will make the cut.

A new trailer for Marvel Cosmic Invasion was shown during Summer Game Fest 2025, which confirmed that Rocket Raccoon and She-Hulk are playable characters. Both of these iconic characters have been featured in the MCU in recent years, with Rocket in particular getting plenty of mainstream exposure thanks to games like Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy and Marvel Rivals. Meanwhile, the big, green alter-ego of Jennifer Walters has been in several video games herself, with one of her most recent outings being Fortnite.

Marvel Cosmic Invasion Confirms Rocket Raccoon and She-Hulk

The two newest Marvel Cosmic Invasion characters jump into action right off the bat in an animated cutscene, followed by gameplay footage that shows off their unique Marvel Cosmic Invasion fighting styles as they smash their way through enemy forces. As usual, Rocket makes up for his smaller size by using space-age guns, including a super attack that fills the screen with laser fire. In contrast, She-Hulk utilizes her gamma-infused superhuman strength to bash opponents with punches, kicks, and body slams, culminating in a double-fisted shockwave attack that would make her cousin The Hulk proud.

The latest Marvel Cosmic Invasion trailer also provides a closer look at some of the game’s level environments, featuring robot factories, jungles, and a city on the moon. Some of the game’s enemies include the infamous mutant-hunting Sentinel robots, the insect-like Brood, and what seems to be boss battles against Thanos and the mutant dinosaur villain Sauron. Marvel Cosmic Invasion still doesn’t have an official release date yet, so there is still plenty of time for Dotemu to reveal the other superheroes suiting up for the fight to save the universe from the forces of Annihilus.
