Ubisoft has just released another update for Star Wars Outlaws, which addresses multiple bugs and glitches in the base game and its two DLC campaigns. Last year, Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment released Star Wars Outlaws, the first bona fide open-world game set in the expansive Star Wars universe. As aspiring scoundrel Kay Vess, players were tasked with exploring the Outer Rim and putting together a rag-tag crew for a major heist in the heart of Imperial territory.
While Star Wars Outlaws ultimately fell short of Ubisoft’s sales expectations, the developers at Massive have continued to support the game through update patches and story DLC. The first post-launch Star Wars Outlaws DLC was Wild Card, which launched back in November and saw Kay reunite with Lando Calrissian for a high-stakes Sabacc tournament. The second was A Pirate’s Fortune, which brought Kay face-to-face with the legendary Captain Hondo Ohnaka in May. There have also been several smaller Star Wars Outlaws update patches that have fixed various technical issues and ensured that the game runs more smoothly.

After a rockier launch and muted reception, Star Wars Outlaws has heavily course corrected, and is well worth diving into anew this year.
Another one of these Star Wars Outlaws updates was recently made available to download on June 24. According to the official patch notes, Star Wars Outlaws Update 1.007 corrects many bugs and glitches in both the main game and its story DLC, with some of the general fixes including an issue in which pick-up weapons could have no ammo after a save, Kay not being able to go into low cover in certain areas, and players being prevented from fast traveling or taking off from Achra Station if landing when dialogue is playing.
Star Wars Outlaws’ UI and accessibility options have also been fixed in the latest update, along with certain questlines on Toshara, Tatooine, and Akiva. DLC-wise, the patch corrects a problem in which Kay could board the Morenia with a second weapon holstered during “The Game” questline in Wild Card, and A Pirate’s Fortune features many fixes in its “Lost Treasures” and “Dead Man’s Tale” quests.
The future of Star Wars Outlaws is shrouded in uncertainty due to the game underperforming and Ubisoft reporting big financial losses after its release last year. Star Wars Outlaws is being ported to the Nintendo Switch 2 on September 4, but a sequel seems unlikely unless the Switch 2 version leads to a drastic increase in sales and attention. In the meantime, fans should keep their eyes peeled for any further Star Wars Outlaws updates from Ubisoft in the future.
