PEAK is a game that’s all about climbing, so it’s only natural that stamina management is a huge part of the experience. Pretty much everything you encounter in Peak can either raise or lower your maximum stamina, which can have drastic effects on your climbing capabilities.
Managing your stamina is the most important thing for a successful PEAK run, and it’s much easier with a group of people that can carry more items. Still, even solo climbers can keep their stamina bars topped off with the occasional snack or healing item, so it’s not like a dedicated squad is required to reach the top.

How to Recover and Increase Stamina in PEAK
Your stamina meter in PEAK starts out completely full, but it will diminish over time as you spend energy climbing the mountain and encounter hazards on the way up. To recover stamina, you have to get rid of the specific negative effects that are reducing your overall energy.
Weight, damage, hunger, and poison are the four primary hazards that will reduce your overall stamina in PEAK, and each has a different remedy. If you’re hindered by weight, you’ll need to either drop some things or pass some items on to another player. If you’ve taken damage and a portion of your stamina meter has turned red, you’ll need to find a first-aid kit or a medicinal root to heal your injuries. Purple poison damage can be healed with an antidote, and yellow hunger pains can be fixed by eating something.
You can also boost your stamina beyond the maximum with certain items you can find during your climb. Luggage from the crashed flight is scattered all over the island in PEAK, and you can find sports drinks, trail mix, and other consumables inside these containers. Items like sports drinks will add a small stamina bar underneath your main meter, giving you more energy for your next climb. It’s super helpful for those last-minute lunges, and they can save you from a fall as well.
It’s a good idea to stock up on some healing items before you start your climb at the start of a PEAK session. The plane crash site has a few helpful tools, and you can grab some coconuts from the nearby trees and cook them for some easy stamina recovery. If you have multiple people in your squad, you can carry even more stamina recovery items without having to weigh yourself down that much, too.
