Infinity Nikki Players Left Frustrated By Current Rerun Banners

Infinity Nikki has released the first rerun of Flutter Storm, a 5-Star outfit from Version 1.0, but many players are frustrated that their pity doesn’t carry over into the new banner. Despite having a very successful release in December 2024, Infinity Nikki changed its trajectory with the disastrous launch of Version 1.5. Between a myriad of technical issues, inexplicable retcons, and questionable monetization, the goodwill that Infold and Infinity Nikki accumulated during the game’s first six months had all but evaporated.

A lack of a proper response from Infold sparked a wave of boycotts in the Infinity Nikki community, from refusing to make store purchases, to refraining from pulling on the Limited Banners, to even quitting the game altogether. While Version 1.6 attempted to stop the bleeding by releasing a stable, low-stakes update, many Infinity Nikki players have maintained a degree of caution until the main issues of Version 1.5 are addressed.

Infinity Nikki Reveals Two New Outfits for Version 1.6

Infinity Nikki players can look forward to two exciting outfits in Version 1.6, as Infold looks to regain its goodwill following Version 1.5.

Unfortunately, it seems that the situation in Infinity Nikki is bound to get controversial once again, as the rerun of Flutter Storm revealed that pity doesn’t transfer across banners. Given Infold’s earlier comment that pity would carry over into a rerun of the same banner, this came as a shock to many Infinity Nikki players, such as Reddit user ephemeral_pleasures. In truth, the reality is a bit more complex, and requires an overview of how banners work in Infinity Nikki.

Infinity Nikki: What Carries Over Across Banners

  • Pity does not carry over across reruns of Limited Banners in Infinity Nikki.

    • This means that if players were 4 pulls away from a guaranteed 5-Star on a banner, they would instead be 20 pulls away on any subsequent rerun.
  • Ocean’s Blessing does not carry over across Limited Banners in Infinity Nikki.

    • If players made 90 pulls, but failed to receive their chosen Ocean’s Blessing piece, their progress would be reset on any subsequent rerun.
  • Outfit Completion carries over across Limited Banners in Infinity Nikki.

    • Players will not receive duplicates they have already pulled, and will be able to obtain the missing outfit pieces first.
  • Deep Echoes carry over across Limited Banners in Infinity Nikki.

    • The number of spent pulls on any Limited Banner is saved, and players will be able to continue where they left off.

Since Ocean’s Blessing gets reset with every banner change, Infinity Nikki players are advised to at least have enough Diamonds for 100 pulls. However, Deep Echoes and Outfit Completion carrying over guarantees that their loss of pity will never exceed 19 pulls. In that sense, Infold has kept its word, but the frustration coming from the community is more than understandable – especially when one considers that the gacha odds in Infinity Nikki are stacked against them.

Ultimately, what may affect the future of Infinity Nikki the most is its impending housing system. Given how poorly the DIY Workshop was received in Version 1.5, Infold should carefully approach the monetization of housing in Infinity Nikki. Unofficial data for the latest banner shows a dramatic drop in pulls, likely caused by a combination of the boycott and general fatigue of fairy-tale dresses. While it is no doubt a troubling time for Infinity Nikki, the winning formula that made it a roaring success is still there, waiting to be realized once again.
