When Can I Play Death Stranding 2 Early Access in the US?
Currently, Death Stranding 2: On the Beach has two separate release dates. The first, on June 24th, 2025, marks the start of a 48-hour early-access period for players who purchased the Digital Deluxe or Collector’s Edition. For players who purchased this version of the game, there is a countdown that leads directly to the following times:
- West Coast/PST: 9:00 PM on Monday, June 23, 2025
- East Coast/ ET: 12:00 AM on Tuesday, June 24, 2025
When Can I Play the Death Stranding 2 Standard Release in the US?
The Early Access period for Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is 48 hours, so players in the US who purchased the standard version of the game will presumably gain access exactly 48 hours after Early Access begins. This will fall on DS2‘s official release date of June 26th, 2025. This means the following times:
- West Coast/PST: 9:00 PM on Wednesday, June 25, 2025
- East Coast/ET 12:00 AM on Thursday, June 26, 2025
When Can I Play Death Stranding 2 Internationally?
PlayStation uses what is known as a “rolling midnight release” schedule. This means that DS2 should be available at 12:00AM in the easternmost areas of each region. For example, in the US, the game will be released at midnight in New York City, at 11:00 PM in Chicago, and 9:00PM in Los Angeles.
While Sony has yet to release an official release time schedule for the globe, you can figure out your release time by looking at the easternmost timezone in your region, then looking at the relative time in your region. Using Death Stranding 2‘s Australian setting as an example, if the game is released at midnight in Brisbane, it’ll be released at 10:00PM in Perth. Check local timezone maps for your region if you are unsure.
