New Xbox games are released on a constant basis, with users of the platform having more than 12 new games to look forward to in July 2025. 2025 has been a busy year for the Xbox brand, with a steady supply of critically-acclaimed new game releases and huge announcements like the Xbox-branded ROG Ally and the confirmation Xbox is partnering with AMD on its next-gen console.
Most of the year’s biggest and highest-reviewed new video game releases have been released for Xbox, with Series X/S owners able to enjoy titles like turn-based RPG Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 and challenging first-person puzzler Blue Prince along with Xbox Game Studios releases like South of Midnight and Avowed. There are still many more Xbox games on deck for 2025, with plenty coming in July 2025.

First up is Mecha Break on July 1, followed by EA Sports College Football 26 on July 10, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 on July 11, Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream and the console version of Ready or Not on July 15, Shadow Labyrinth on July 18, Monument Valley 3 and Wildgate on July 22, Killing Floor 3 and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers on July 24, Tales of the Shire on July 29, and finally, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound on July 31.

Out of all the new games releasing in July 2025, a few stand out more than the others. EA Sports College Football 26 is coming after EA’s wildly successful, record-breaking return to college football last year, and it will be interesting to see if it lives up to its predecessor. Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, meanwhile, will give fans the chance to relive some of the franchise’s most iconic parks with vastly improved graphics, while Ready or Not‘s Xbox release on July 15 finally lets tactical shooter fans on console see what all the fuss is about.
Shadow Labyrinth is a gritty Metroidvania re-imagining of arcade classic Pac-Man, while Monument Valley 3 is the third installment in the award-winning puzzle game series. Wildgate is a new PvP shooter game with spaceships, and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a new Soulslike. Tales of the Shire is a long-awaited cozy game based on The Lord of the Rings, and finally, Ninja Gaiden: Ragebound is a spin-off of the long-running action game series that takes it back to its 2D side-scroller roots.
Out of these games, two will be day one Xbox Game Pass Ultimate games, with subscribers able to look forward to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers. Grounded 2 will also be available to Game Pass Ultimate subscribers on July 29, with the co-op survival game sequel releasing in Game Preview form that day.
