Upcoming PS5 Games Releasing In 2025 & Beyond

Sony’s PlayStation 5 has been around for a couple of years by this point, granting it plenty of opportunity to build up an expansive library capable of catering to the needs of most users. New PS5 games drop at an almost daily rate, ranging from smaller-scale indie projects designed by a handful of developers to massive AAA exclusives that are designed to be system sellers. In the meantime, the PlayStation 4 continues to receive love from cross-generation titles, so people who have yet to upgrade still have plenty to look forward to.

Which upcoming PS5 games will soon hit store shelves around the world? Which 2025 PS5 games will set the world alight? The calendar lists the most notable PS5 release dates, along with their North American release dates if that information has been announced.

Updated on June 5, 2025: The upcoming PlayStation 5 games were added to the scheduler: Maximum Football, Dustwind: Resistance, Vessels of Decay, Drug Dealer Simulator, Poppy Playtime – Chapter 4, Bambas!, KreatureKind, Antro, Islands: New Shores, Eriksholm: The Stolen Dream, Dungeons & Dragons Neverwinter Nights 2: Enhanced Edition, Ready or Not, Monument Valley 3, Luto, BOULDER DASH 40th Anniversary, Wildgate, Fresh Tracks, Discounty, Hirogami, Everybody’s Golf Hot Shots, Class of Heroes 1 2 3 Remaster Collection, Towa and the Guardians of the Sacred Tree, Castle of Heart: Retold, Alien: Rogue Incursion Evolved Edition, Jurassic World Evolution 3, Anno 117: Pax Romana.

PS5 Games Coming In June 2025

Death Stranding, Raidou, FNAF, FBC: Firebreak, & More

June 2025 is defined by a couple of major but niche games. Death Stranding 2: On The Beach will almost certainly be the month’s biggest release, with Hideo Kojima’s sequel hopefully building on the success of the first entry. That said, Death Stranding was an acquired taste, so the follow-up is likely to be the same.

When it comes to other June 2025 PS5 games, FNAF is getting another entry with Secret of the Mimic, while System Shock 2 is receiving a remaster by Nightdive Studio. The latter has put together some great remasters over the last few years, and System Shock 2 might be the company’s most exciting effort to date. Speaking of remasters, Atlus’ Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. the Soulless Army is receiving an updated version for the PS5 and PS4 (among other platforms). FBC: Firebreak represents an unusual multiplayer return to Remedy’s Control and Alan Wake universe.

PS5 Games Coming In August 2025

MGS Snake Eater, Madden, Shinobi, & More

August 2025’s lineup is far from complete, but the month has one game that is arguably among the biggest of 2025. Konami is bringing back Metal Gear Solid with Delta: Snake Eater, a remake of one of the best stealth games of all time. Going by the released footage and marketing, the project seems to be a faithful and impressive reimagination of the classic original.

For other releases, Madden NFL 26 is a pretty big deal, at least for the franchise’s community. Mafia: The Old Country is also aiming for an August 2025 debut. While full exclusives are not that common during this month, August 2025 has one notable console exclusive in Lost Souls Aside.

PS5 Games Coming In September 2025

Borderlands, Marathon, Silent Hill, & More

While they are still taking shape, a few PS5 release dates have been announced for September 2025, including a couple of major releases. Hell is Us, Borderlands 4, and Marathon are targeting the month, and they should all attract quite a bit of attention. Hell is Us is an action open-world game, while Borderlands 4 is, naturally, a looter shooter. Bungie’s Marathon is an extraction shooter that is all about multiplayer.

Although still too early to say, Silent Hill F seems set to be the biggest PlayStation 5 game of the month, and it is a console exclusive. NeoBards and Konami’s title will be the first “new” entry in the franchise in a long time, and the trailers have been generally encouraging.
