NBA 2K25 Gets New Update for June 2025

NBA 2K25 has just released a new update for June 2025, bringing many small improvements across different game modes. With Season 8 about to start, NBA 2K25 players can look forward to a smoother and more polished gameplay experience.

NBA 2K25 was released in September 2024 and introduced several big upgrades to make the game feel more real and fun to play. The improved ProPLAY technology added over 9,000 new animations from real NBA videos, making player movements look more natural. A new dribble system and better defensive features were also added. In MyCAREER, NBA 2K25 replaced the acceleration stat with a new agility stat and introduced a stamina system earned by working out at a Gatorade facility, along with new places like Proving Grounds. MyTEAM also brought back the Auction House and added a new mode called Showdown.

Since its launch, NBA 2K25 has regularly received updates from the developer to keep the game fresh, and most recently, it launched Update 8.0. NBA 2K25’s latest patch adds a variety of updates and fixes across different game modes, preparing for Season 8, which starts on June 27. In The City, players will experience smoother gameplay due to improved performance, stability, and better visuals. The Proving Grounds 5v5 mode has also been changed, with VC rewards greatly increased, giving players more goodies for their time and effort. These updates aim to keep the experience fresh and exciting as players get ready for the new season.

In addition, the update brings several improvements to NBA 2K25‘s MyNBA, MyNBA Online, and The W modes, focusing on better stability and gameplay consistency. A range of visual updates have also been made, including updated referee uniforms, new sponsor patches for the Atlanta Dream, and the addition of “Ally” and “No Space For Hate” logos on all WNBA court floors. On the gameplay side, a bug that previously caused the game to freeze when selecting a team in The W has been fixed, ensuring smoother switches between teams and matchups. Lastly, the Golden State Valkyries’ court floor has been adjusted to better match its real-life version.

Altogether, these changes contribute to a more polished and immersive NBA 2K25 experience. While every patch aimed at resolving bugs is a welcome improvement, fans can look forward to even greater enhancements when NBA 2K26 launches, which is expected in early September 2025, following 2K’s traditional release schedule. Anticipated features include upgraded graphics, refined defensive mechanics, and a more immersive MyCAREER storyline.
