Players are having trouble defeating Lilith in Season 8 of Diablo 4, with a bug causing the game’s first Pinnacle Boss to become unkillable after a certain amount of damage is dealt. The revamped battle is even more difficult than the vanilla fight, and Diablo 4 fans are begging developer Blizzard to fix this irritating issue as soon as possible, as Lilith’s defeat is required to snag an incredibly vital in-game item.
Earlier in June, Diablo 4 celebrated its second anniversary, with players able to snag unique rewards and a new Event Reliquary with weapon cosmetics and mount trophies. The online-only dungeon crawler was an instant hit for Blizzard upon its release in June 2023, becoming the fastest-selling game in the company’s history and reaching 12 million players in its first two months. While developers continue to roll out new content patches and updates for Diablo 4, the recent Reliquary Battle Pass has been criticized by players for its poor design, and a recent bug has made one boss fight unplayable for a large number of players.

After the delay of Diablo 4’s next expansion, Blizzard may benefit by going all out with the game’s next big batch of content.
Diablo 4 Season 8 added plenty of new content, including Legendary Aspects and the game’s first Pinnacle Boss, Uber Lilith. Winning this tough battle for the first time each season rewards players with a Resplendent Spark, which can be used to create Mythic Uniques. Unfortunately, many players have reported that the fight is bugged, with Lilith becoming unkillable after reducing her health to around 35 percent. While the reason for the bug is unknown, many have speculated that it may be the result of players dealing excessive damage too quickly. Although the bug seems to have been causing issues for weeks, it’s unclear when Blizzard will release a fix.
Bug Causes Lilith to Become Immune to All Damage in Diablo 4 Season 8
Bugged battles aren’t the only thing that has left players frustrated with the game. Following the release of Season 8, Diablo 4 players criticized the game’s lack of content and monetization, the latter of which some have called “aggressive.” If players wanted to purchase every available cosmetic during the highly anticipated Berserk crossover, they would need to spend $150, prompting many in the community to fear for their wallets during future collaborations.
On June 27, Blizzard will hold a Diablo 4 Season 9 Developer Update Livestream, during which players can get a better idea of what to expect in Season 9: Sins of the Horadrim, including upcoming questlines, new endgame content, and more. Fans who connect their Battle.net and Twitch accounts will be able to snag Lacuni’s Pupil 2-handed Sorcerer Staff as a Twitch Drop during the presentation.
