When it finally launched in December, its first few updates were off to a successful start with millions of dollars in revenue. However, Version 1.5 has been heavily criticized by players for various reasons, including big changes to the main story, disappearing currency, and game-breaking bugs. The backlash resulted in Infinity Nikki issuing an apology and promising to fix the issues. Despite the disastrous launch of Version 1.5, the game has recently been recognized in a mobile category, and players are receiving free in-game items to celebrate.

Some Infinity Nikki Players Can No Longer Launch the Game

Following Version 1.5, Infinity Nikki refuses to launch for some players on the PC, prompting the community to look for a temporary solution.

On June 4, developer Papergames revealed that Infinity Nikki has won a Visuals and Graphics award at the 2025 Apple Design Awards. To commemorate the achievement, and thank fans for their support, Infinity Nikki is giving away 300 free Diamonds to all players through their in-game mail. To claim the items, fans need to have activated the Pear-Pal function, which is unlocked by progressing through the main story. The rewards can be claimed once until June 5, 2026, so players have plenty of time to obtain them. The extra Diamonds may also come in handy for Infinity Nikki‘s upcoming updates, which are rumored to debut several 5-star outfits.

Earlier in May, Infinity Nikki delayed the release of Version 1.6 to solve the game’s current technical issues. As compensation for the rescheduling, Infinity Nikki confirmed that all players would receive 120 Diamonds and one Energy Crystal daily from June 5 to 12. This adds up to a total of 960 Diamonds and eight Energy Crystals simply by logging in. Added to the 300 Diamonds from the Apple Design Awards gift, fans can receive up to 1,260 Diamonds, the equivalent of ten free pulls. Fans should seize the opportunity to log in to Infinity Nikki for the remainder of the 1.5 update if they want to obtain the most from the compensations.

Although Infold Games has apologized for the mentioned problems, numerous fans began a “girlcott” against Infinity Nikki, demanding better compensation and faster bug-fixing.
