A Pokemon fan has designed a clever Gigantamax version of Steelix with some terrifying potential. This particular Gigantamax Steelix is imagined as belonging to Jasmine, the Olivine City Gym Leader from the Gen 2 Pokemon games.
Over the years, the Pokemon game series has been gradually introducing variant forms and unique temporary evolutions for various pocket monsters. Many of these have gone on to become player favorites, but with over a thousand Pokemon now existing in the franchise, the Pokemon games haven’t come anywhere near creating a variant for each and every one of them. Pokemon‘s huge fanbase has helped to fill in the gaps with their own imagined Gigantamax Pokemon and other variants.

Pokemon Fan Uses 3D Printer to Make Impressive Steelix Card
A creative Pokemon fan is being lauded by fellow fans for utilizing their 3D printer to craft a three-dimensional card of Steelix.
One example of this is a Gigantamax Steelix that the creators imagine as belonging to Olivine City Gym Leader Jasmine. Players of Pokemon Gold and Silver will likely remember Jasmine as fighting with a pair of Magnemite and one Steelix. Now, the Pokemon fan collective LapiSan_Laboratory has shared their idea of what would happen if Jasmine were to Gigantamax her Steelix. Steelix has grown tremendously in its Gigantamax form, going from a base length of 30 feet to a stunning 196. Instead of the clenched jaw that Steelix and Mega Steelix both have, Gigantamax Steelix’s maw has changed shape to that of a bulldozer shovel.
Gym Leader Jasmine’s Steelix Gains Interesting Properties When Giganatmaxed
The Pokemon has more stony ridges emerging from its body, but one of the most intriguing changes is that it’s become magnetized, leading to surrounding metallic debris, electronic devices, and Steel Pokemon being drawn to it and getting stuck. This includes a Magneton and Magnemite, perhaps belonging to Jasmine as well. Lastly, it’s gained the G-Max Shining Steel move, which inflicts damage and boosts both defense and special defense.
Pokemon fans seem to be impressed with the Gigantamax Steelix design, perhaps indicating that the Pokemon is due for an overhaul with a new form. Steelix only has one alternate form, Mega Steelix, while Onix has none, aside from an anime-only crystal Onix variant. In fact, Onix and Steelix have been entirely neglected in the most recent Pokemon games, with the Pokemon being unobtainable and not having a Pokedex entry, even after the pair of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC launched. Given the interest fans are showing in a Gigantamax version of Steelix, the fandom would likely be happy to see them return – especially with an updated evolution or variant – in a future Pokemon title.
