Red Dead Redemption Actor Teases ‘Exciting News’ For Fans

Red Dead Redemption John Marston actor Rob Wiethoff has teased some “exciting news” for fans to get hyped about. Although Wiethoff is unable to reveal what he’s talking about yet, it appears he could be talking about something Red Dead Redemption-related.

2010’s Red Dead Redemption was a massive success, both critically and commercially. Rockstar’s iconic Western was a great way for the studio to take its tried-and-tested Grand Theft Auto formula and apply it to a brand-new setting, resulting in another hit for the studio. The game hasn’t been forgotten with time, either – Red Dead Redemption‘s eventual PC release last year was a massive hit, despite a steep $49.99 price tag for what was a 14-year-old game at the time.

An upcoming Steam game set to launch in early access is like Valheim meets Red Dead Redemption, promising an interesting blend for fans of both.

Recently, Red Dead Redemption John Marston actor Rob Wiethoff has been playing the original game on his Twitch stream. During a recent livestream, the actor revealed that he has “such exciting news. I can’t share it with you right now and it’s absolutely killing me. Not as soon as tomorrow but definitely before Friday. Oh my goodness, the news that I have to share, and I won’t be the only one sharing it. I cannot wait for you to know what’s going on. I truly cannot think about anything else, especially playing this game [Red Dead Redemption].”

With Wiethoff’s reference to playing Red Dead Redemption, it makes sense that whatever he is teasing is regarding Rockstar’s Western series. The exact specifics are unknown, and given Grand Theft Auto 6‘s upcoming release, a Red Dead Redemption 3 reveal feels incredibly unlikely. However, a recent rumor that Red Dead Redemption 2 could be coming to the Nintendo Switch 2 could be one possibility, although whether Wiethoff would hype it to this extent is unknown.

By the sounds of it, gamers won’t have to wait long to find out exactly what Rob Wiethoff is teasing. Whether it’s Red Dead Redemption 3 or something else entirely, hopefully it lives up to the hype. The previous two titles in the series are among the best open-world games ever made, so anything to do with either of those would be pretty cool too.
