All Mutations (& How to Get Them)

In Roblox’s Grow A Garden, you get to take care of your own digital garden, where fruits can grow massive and show off unique patterns and designs. While checking out your garden (or visiting your neighbor’s), you might have spotted fruits that look a bit different. Some are dripping water, some are frozen solid, and some have shiny stars sparkling around them.

These are called mutations, and every Grow A Garden player should know about them. They’re a big part of what can turn you into a millionaire (or even a billionaire) in this cute botanical sim. So, if you’re wondering what each mutation does and how to get them on your crops, this guide has got you covered.

Updated by Somiya Adrees on June 12, 2025: In this article, you’ll find the value of all mutations added to the game so far, including the event ones, as players can still trigger some of them using tools and pets by trading with others. The Best Mutations list and the Stacked Mutations section have also been updated to reflect the current top picks in the game, helping you aim for the most profitable options.

Grow a Garden: Best Crops Tier List

Grow a Garden has lots of seeds, but only some are truly worth planting. Here’s a simple tier list breaking down the best and the worst ones.

How to Get Mutations in Grow A Garden

Mutations are basically cool changes that happen to your plants. Some depend on weather events, while others can be activated by using tools, setups, or special variant seeds. They not only make your garden look way more colorful and shiny, but also help you get rich real quick.

Getting mutations on your fruits and veggies can seriously boost their selling price. Below is a list of all the mutations in the game, how much each one sells for, and easy ways to grow them faster.

All Mutations

Sell Value

How to Get Them?

Big

1x value (but it can increase with the fruit’s weight)

Place sprinklers near your fruits; each one is available at the Gear Shop. The mutation can kick in at any time, but only a small patch of nearby fruits will grow bigger. It’s a great way to earn money if the fruit already has other mutations on it or if you’re testing the sprinkler glitch to make them massive.

Wet

2x Value

Wait for rainy weather (it usually shows up every 10 – 15 minutes), and let your crops soak. Rain can bless all your harvests, but there’s only about a 50% chance they’ll get the Wet mutation.

Chilled

2x Value

This one sparks in frost weather, which can randomly pop up on the server. Just keep an eye on your crops while the weather is active; there’s a good chance they’ll pick it up on their own. Players can also use a Polar Bear to force the Chilled Mutation on their plants.

Chocolate

2x Value

Set a Chocolate Sprinkler next to the seeds or plants, and start collecting chocolate fruits from them as they ripen. Since it only lasts a minute, using it with regular sprinklers helps the seeds and fruits grow faster. You can also wait for Chocolate Rain to get this variant.

Moonlit

2x Value

This mutation can occur automatically on some of your plants during a Night Event. Placing a Night Staff in your garden can help trigger it faster.

Pollinated

3x Value

Let the Bee Swarm event start or have special bees bite crops on your farm, especially Honey Bees, Wasps, Tarantula Hawks, Bees, Petal Bees, and Queen Bees.

Bloodlit

4x Value

When the Blood Moon event begins (which has a 33% chance of happening during the Lunar Glow Night Event), some of your plants might randomly gain the Bloodlit mutation. Using a Night Staff nearby can boost the chances.

HoneyGlazed

5x Value

Set a Honey Sprinkler on your plot; it’ll work for a minute and turn your crops HoneyGlazed. Or drop a Bear Bee, which does the same every 25 minutes.

Heavenly

5x Value

Hop into the server during the Floating Jandel event (usually during Live Update launches), where a monkey rests mid-air and turns your crops Heavenly.

Plasma

5x Value

When the Lazer event happens, a giant monkey might target your plot with red laser beams, giving your crops the Plasma mutation.

Frozen

10x Value

Once your fruits and veggies get the Wet mutation, hold off on picking them. When frost weather hits or a Polar Bear is active, those crops might turn into Frozen ones.

Golden

20x Value

This one is a luck-based mutation. Normally, you might see it appear on just one out of 100 plants, but you can increase your chances a bit by setting up tools like the Advanced Sprinkler, Godly Sprinkler, or Master Sprinkler. Planting a Super Seed or using a Dragonfly can also guarantee a gold variant plant.

Zombified

25x Value

Just drop a Chicken Zombie on your farmland, and it’ll grant some of your fruits this greenish mutation.

Rainbow

50x Value

This one can show up on its own, but it’s pretty rare. To get it faster, you can buy Super Seeds from the Premium Shop, use gear like the Godly or Master Sprinklers, or leave a Butterfly in your garden.

Shocked

100x Value

You can get this mutation when lightning hits your crops during thunderstorm weather. Since the odds are pretty low, it’s a good idea to place a Lightning Rod in your garden. Plants near it will have a higher chance of receiving the Shocked Mutation.

Celestial

120x Value

This variant can appear when a meteor hits your crops during Meteor Shower weather. To raise your chances, set a Star Caller in your plot; it helps attract falling stars.

Disco

125x Value

Wait for an admin to start the Disco Event; during it, your avatar will dance, and some fruits in your garden will develop this bold, colorful mutation. You can also leave a Disco Bee to get this variant.

Voidtouched

135x Value

When the Black Hole Event triggers (which only devs can activate), some of your fruits will become Voidtouched.

Dawnbound

150x Value

Only Sunflowers can take on this mutation. Once Jandel kicks off the Sungod Event, gather four players, each holding a Sunflower, and show them to the Golden Monkey to trigger the mutation.

Grow a Garden has added many adorable pets that give your crops some great perks; here’s the list of the most to least valuable ones.

Grow a Garden’s Stacked Mutations, Explained

Perhaps one of the coolest parts of Grow a Garden is how mutations can stack. That means a single fruit or veggie can have more than one mutation at once. And when that happens, its price can shoot up to billions, if not trillions, in the game.

To stack mutations in Grow a Garden, just favorite any plants that already have a mutation (so nobody can steal them), then let them soak up more mutations during weather events or by using sprinklers and other items. Here’s how wild the prices can get with stacked mutations:

Best Mutations in Grow A Garden

While Dawnbound and Voidtouched are the best mutations in Grow a Garden right now, they’re also pretty rare since they rely on admins starting the events. Still, here are some other top-tier variants you can go for daily if you’re looking to farm a bunch of Sheckles:

  • Disco is undoubtedly the best variant in GaG that’s also easy to get. Just use Disco Bees to collect multiple of these every in-game day.
  • Celestial is another great pick for F2P players. You can collect more of these fruits by waiting for the right weather during nighttime or placing Star Callers regularly.
  • Shocked fruits are really valuable. Since they’re not tied to any event, they show up more frequently. All you need is some patience and a proper setup with a Lightning Rod to harvest a bunch daily.
