Epic Games recently released Season 4 of the classic game mode, which has brought remixed versions of iconic skins like Omega and The Visitor to Fortnite OG. Many fans were especially excited to see The Visitor return, as he is a member of The Seven, a faction that has heavily influenced the story of Fortnite over the years. A New Battle Bus May Be Coming to Fortnite, but There’s a Catch

A prominent Fortnite leaker reveals that a new Battle Bus may be coming to Epic Games’ popular battle royale, but it might not be what people expect.

In a recent post on Twitter, the prominent leaker HYPEX revealed that big changes could be coming to the game mode Fortnite OG. According to HYPEX, Epic Games might be planning to remove bots from the core mode, which would mean that every enemy in a match is a player. As a result, HYPEX also suggested that Epic Games may be developing a casual version of Fortnite OG where 12 players will drop into a match alongside 88 bots. Fortnite OG was originally released in December 2024 and didn’t include bots at all, but they were added shortly after the game mode’s release.

Epic Games May Introduce a Casual Version of Fortnite OG

Many fans were surprised by the news, as Epic Games recently shut down Fortnite OG’s ranked mode. This wasn’t the first time Epic Games was forced to shut down a version of the classic game mode either, as it also discontinued the ranked version of Fortnite OG Zero Build earlier in 2025. When Epic Games announced that it would be shutting down the game mode, it cited “matchmaking health” as the reason, indicating that it likely wasn’t pulling in enough players.

It seems as if Fortnite has had trouble retaining players in 2025, as it was recently reported that it hit its lowest player count in two years during the month of May. Some gamers theorized that the drop in engagement may have been the result of Fortnite‘s major collaboration with Star Wars during the Galactic Battle mini-season. However, it would seem that Fortnite‘s player base has been steadily declining throughout 2025. Despite a few hiccups here and there, many fans are still feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
