Does Atomfall Have Fast Travel?

Uncovering the secrets of Atomfall requires you to trek across the quarantine zone. But is there a faster way to travel?

Whether you’re a beginner or a veteran Atomfall player, fortunately, you don’t need to travel far to reach Midsummer Isle to start Wicked Isle and begin uncovering its mysteries.

How To Start Atomfall’s Wicked Isle DLC

To start Atomfall‘s Wicked Isle DLC, you must travel to the shores of Wyndham Village and speak with boatman Bill Anderson, an NPC standing at the docks located at points 32.6E, 83.1N on the map, as pictured above. This location is indicated on the Wyndham Village Map with a question mark icon titled ‘Midsummer Isle’ as a rumored location marked with these coordinates. Once you arrive at the docks, Bill starts calling out to you. Speak to Bill to get him to take you to Midsummer Isle on his boat, kicking off the Wicked Isle DLC.

You can find the entrance to Wyndham Village from Slatten Dale, the game’s main opening map area, at points 29.0E, 79.4N on the Slatten Dale map. Look for the walled entrance and loudspeaker, then interact with the large green metal doors to enter Wyndham Village.

Bill Anderson Boatman in Atomfall

Bill is the only expert around who can navigate the Lake’s treacherous waters to reach Midsummer Isle. There are a few different dialogue options you can freely choose from when speaking with Bill initially, who says he’ll take you to Midsummer Isle if you’ll help with something when you get there. If you agree to help, he’ll take you to Midsummer Isle, a.k.a. Wicked Isle, right away. It seems it’s not possible to reach Midsummer Isle without the help of the Boatman and without agreeing to help him, as the boat on the dock states ‘Boatman’s Map required’ to use it.

On arriving at Midsummer Isle, speak to Bill again so he can give you the Boatsman’s Map and fill you in on one of the local landmarks, the ominous-looking Old Abbey. You’ll also trigger the first lead to start your Wicked Isle adventure. However, it’s best to be on your guard as you begin exploring the Abandoned Village, with enemies lurking close by. Once you’ve obtained the Boatman’s Map, you can also click on Bill’s boat to return to Wyndham Village.
