Cyberpunk 2077‘s Night City is a sprawling, dense map with a level of verticality that’s rarely seen in video games. A maze of a futuristic metropolis, the city has something going on everywhere you look. While part of the magic of an open world as intricately detailed and densely populated as Night City is to explore it, sometimes you just need to get from A to B as quickly as possible. How to Fast Travel in Cyberpunk 2077 2.0
It’s All About the Terminals
Fast travel is only unlocked after you’ve completed the prologue mission. This is specific to the life path you’ve chosen at the beginning of the game. After you’ve completed this and are free to explore Night City at your leisure, you can then fast travel to any point you’ve already unlocked. To do this, open your map and look for a blue pin icon.
Make your way to these to find a terminal with ‘Tourist Information’ and a map hologram in green above it. Interact with the terminal, and you’ll then be able to select one of the other fast travel points on your map to be transported to.
Fast travel can only be used by interacting with a terminal. It’s not possible to open the in-game map and fast travel to one of these points by selecting one of them. This will just set a waypoint for you to follow to get to it in-game instead.
How to Unlock More Fast Travel Points in Cyberpunk 2077
Get Exploring
Cyberpunk 2077’s fast travel points are unlocked by moving past them. This can be walking, driving, or riding a motorbike. As long as you pass relatively close to the fast travel point, it will automatically be unlocked and available for you to travel to in the future. You don’t have to interact with the terminal itself. Drive down the road past one, and that should be close enough for it to unlock.
There isn’t a trick to unlocking fast travel points quickly. Just play the game naturally, and you’ll unlock a lot of them as you explore the world. The main story quests will take you across most regions of Night City, and the side quests will have you diving into all sorts of tucked-away corners, so just completing quests is the best advice I can give.
