In late 2023, Arkane Lyon announced that it is working on Marvel’s Blade, based on Marvel’s iconic vampire hunter. The Dishonored and Deathloop developer has been given creative liberty to interpret the Daywalker’s exploits through Paris as it sees fit, making Marvel’s Blade an exciting title for fans of both the character and Arkane Lyon’s games to look out for. It is confirmed that it will be played for a third-person perspective, an interesting deviation from Arkane Lyon’s typical first-person format.
Since its initial announcement, though, fans have been given very little information about the game. Waiting for Marvel’s Blade may not be a bad thing, giving the developers time to do the Marvel hero’s game justice. However, with the future of the character looking quite bleak, any kind of update on the game’s status is crucial for keeping the community’s hopes up.

Delays and Cancellations for Marvel and Blade
It’s important for Marvel’s Blade to receive any kind of update because Blade’s appearance in other media seems grim. The most notorious case is with the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s Blade reboot. Since Blade has been overlooked very often in recent years, Arkane Lyon needs to issue an update on the development of Marvel’s Blade.
An Update Would Prove Marvel’s Blade Isn’t Forgotten

With many game announcement events being spread out over the course of June, it could be possible for news to be revealed about Marvel’s Blade. It is possible that the silence can finally be broken at a showcase like Summer Game Fest.
Blade’s appearances in modern media haven’t had the easiest of journeys, but fans are still dedicated to the character, patient for him to appear again in a new movie or game. Things may be on the up, what with the Blade movie getting a positive update and his inevitable inclusion in Marvel Rivals as a playable hero, but giving an update on Marvel’s Blade game sooner rather than later would be what fans would need to feel secure about the character’s future.
