PlayStation Plus is celebrating its 15th anniversary on June 29, revealing a number of activities for players to enjoy the event, including exclusive game discounts, tournaments, game trials, and more. Alongside the 15th anniversary event details, Sony has also revealed the new games available for PlayStation Plus members from July 1 to August 4.
Sony allows players to play a wide range of games through the PS Plus subscription service, which combines online multiplayer access with free monthly games, exclusive discounts, and access to large game libraries split into three different tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium. The service was first released on June 29, 2010, and has evolved significantly over time. PlayStation Plus is a great choice for gamers who like to try out several different games, as its game rotation allows them to claim these titles and play them as long as their subscription is still active. Now, Sony is celebrating the service’s anniversary with players.

PS Plus Reveals Free Games For July 2025
Sony announces PlayStation Plus is receiving a variety of stellar free games for July 2025, to celebrate the subscription service’s 15th anniversary.
As announced in a PlayStation blog post, the popular PS Plus service celebrates its 15th anniversary on June 29 and will bring several activities for players. Starting today (June 25), Premium members can access a game trial of WWE 2K25, as well as Monster Hunter Wilds, available from June 30. Moreover, from June 27 to June 29, all PS Plus members will have access to discounts for games like Sniper Elite: Resistance, Sid Meier’s Civilization 7, and Star Wars Outlaws.

The anniversary also brings special things for Valorant fans starting today as well. All PS Plus members can get a pack with several Valorant cosmetics, including 2x Prelude to Chaos Gun Buddy, 1x Kohaku & Matsuba Player Card, 1x Imperium Spray, 1x Chronovoid Spray, and 10x Radianite Points.
For competitive players, Sony will be hosting a special PlayStation Plus 15th Anniversary Cup tournament starting on June 28 for games like EA Sports FC, NBA 2K, UFC, Madden NFL, College Football, Tekken 8, and more. Those who join the competition can win various prizes such as virtual currency, a PSN avatar, and more. Additionally, until August 12, there is a 15% discount on up to 2,000 movies for PS Plus Premium members, across the Sony Pictures Core library. Last but not least, from June 28 to June 29, players without a PS Plus membership will be allowed to join online multiplayer matches.
In addition to the celebration announcements, Sony has also revealed that Diablo 4, King of Fighters 15, and Jusant will join the Monthly Games rotation from July 1 to August 4. While Sony celebrates the service’s 15th anniversary, PS Plus members have a lot to look forward to in the coming days.
