As you expand the Chiral Network to Mexico throughout the episodes, you will run into human enemies sooner rather than later. Avoiding them is an option, but you can also take them out quietly. This can be especially useful when carrying valuable cargo or trying to conserve ammunition for tougher fights later on. To do this, you must crouch down by pressing R1 on your controller and approach the enemy from behind, making sure no one sees you from a distance. You will now get the option to press circle, which allows you to bind the enemy using a strand without alerting anyone around.

There is also the option of doing a melee attack, which you can perform without the use of a Strand, but this action does make noise and can alert nearby enemies. This method is riskier and should be used only if you’re confident the area is clear or you’re prepared for a fight. When going for a stealth takedown, try to analyze the enemy’s movement and how they patrol an area.

This will allow you to take down an enemy when they are far apart from the others.

It is important to note that stealth takedowns only work on human enemies, and you cannot use this action on a BT. BTs operate under entirely different mechanics, and stealth won’t help you once you’re spotted. To deal with BTs, you’ll have to resort to Blood Grenades and other specialized weapons, which unlock as you complete more Orders.
