The Nintendo Today smart-device app was announced during the publisher’s March Direct showcase, designed to perform like a daily calendar for Nintendo fans and become the platform for big announcements and details regarding the Switch 2 and games.

To solidify the new console as a go-to home for diverse games, the Nintendo Switch 2 has a long list of confirmed games heading to its catalog. Joining the Mario Kart World launch title, other Nintendo exclusives include Donkey Kong Bananza, Pokemon Legends: Z-A, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. On the third-party games front, titles such as Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition, Elden Ring, and Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade are also joining the handheld’s selection.

Nintendo announced through the Nintendo Today app that the wheelchair sports games, Drag x Drive, will be released exclusively on the Switch 2 on August 14, 2025. Drag x Drive was announced during the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct, and gameplay revolves around wheelchair basketball games where sports enthusiasts can compete in 3v3 matches. To flaunt the console’s new tech, the title was crafted with the Joy-Con 2’s mouse mode in mind, and players can also utilize the platform’s motion controls to mimic operating a wheelchair. Additionally, teammates can raise their arms and clap to encourage players to pass the ball, suggesting that the multiplayer will require a lot of activity and provide a good workout.
