How to Install the PEAK Unlimited Mod

PEAK, the first-person, survival climbing game, is meant to be played with up to four players cooperatively. Of course, if you don’t have friends (or just dislike playing games with other people), you can totally play PEAK by yourself and even reach the end goal– it won’t be easy, though.

And there’s actually a way to play PEAK with more than four players (in an unofficial capacity). By using the PEAK Unlimited Mod, players can essentially unlock the max player cap, allowing up to 20 climbers by default (apparently, you can increase the number too, but the game probably won’t run as well as it does with 1-4 players).

If you’re looking to join the modding world and attempt to play PEAK with 10 players or something ridiculous like that, you can head to the mod page for PEAK Unlimited on Thunderstore. The directions will be laid out for you. But we’ll also list a breakdown of the instructions below:

Go ahead and download the Bepinex zip file from Thunderstore.
Extract the zip file into the PEAK game file. To find it on your PC, right-click on the game in your Steam library, hit Manage, and then Browse Local Files.
Boot the game up and then close it.
Download the actual PEAK Unlimited mod and then look for Peakunlimited.dll-copy it.
Head inside PEAK‘s folder, and go into >>>\BepInEx\plugins. Paste the .dll file in there.
If it goes smoothly, you should be able to host a ton of players.
If you would like to edit the max number of players, you can edit the configuration, which can be found at… \PEAK\bepinex\config\PeakUnlimited.cfg

Before you install mods to your Steam game, just be aware that issues can arise. If bugs are occurring while the mod is installed and in use, feel free to remove it. Just be cautious if you’re concerned about losing save data or other important information.
