Monster Hunter Wilds Update 2 Content Accidentally Shared Early

Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 details have been leaked by Sony itself, providing fans with a fleeting glimpse at the release date, as well as the new content and monsters designed to liven up gameplay. Monster Hunter Wilds was first released back in February 2025, serving as a successor to 2018’s Monster Hunter: World. Wilds offered original features never-before-seen in the franchise thus far, including the addition of cross-platform play support and ever-changing environments to explore.

Unfortunately, nearly four months after its initial release, Monster Hunter Wilds has accumulated ‘Overwhelmingly Negative’ reviews on Steam, targeting a common complaint from players. Still, the upcoming Title Update 2 promises a host of new content that will hopefully return the game to the fandom’s good graces somewhat.

Monster Hunter Wilds May Be Down, But It’s Not Out

Monster Hunter Wilds players are airing their greivances against the game, but there’s a clear indicator that these cries are not going unheard.

Posted on Reddit by DemonLordDiablos, a list of details was shared on the Gaming Leaks and Rumors subreddit, highlighting new content revealed by Sony on the PlayStation Store’s Monster Hunter Wilds page. The information has since been removed from the store at the time of writing, since the details were supposedly added prematurely, but some of the highlights include confirmation of a June 30 release date, the addition of two “fan-favorite” monsters, the Arch-Tempered Uth Duna, layered weapons, and more events. The leaked news is an exciting tidbit to accompany Capcom’s upcoming summer spotlight event, which is also scheduled to broadcast in June, covering the latest news from the publisher and, hopefully, more Resident Evil Requiem details.

Monster Hunter Wilds Title Update 2 Release Date and Content Confirmed In Premature Sony Post

  • June 30th
  • Two “fan-favorite” monsters
  • Arch-Tempered Uth Duna
  • Layered weapons
  • More events

Redditors were quick to speculate that the two monsters are likely to be Lagiacrus, the leviathan, and Seregios, based on previous datamines. However, the player base was more focused on complaining about the state of the game, rather than the upcoming Title Update 2 content. A common bone of contention among fans is the state of Wilds’ optimization, with many noting how blurry the graphics are. Despite players’ concerns regarding optimization, Monster Hunter Wilds will include a fan-requested change, which was an addition previously revealed last month.

Looking to the action RPG’s future, Monster Hunter Wilds fans have already made a collaboration wish list that would create exciting crossovers to look forward to. Some of the top contenders that Wilds could unite with include Devil May Cry, Dragon’s Dogma, and Hades, the latter of which could provide a host of unique weapons from Supermassive Games’ roguelike, such as the Stygian Blade and Adamant Rail.
