How to Switch Out Demons in Combat in Raidou Remastered

Raidou Remastered: Mystery of the Soulless Army‘s real-time combat does a lot to incorporate the usual Atlus formula. Outside of still trying to target weaknesses whenever you can, Raidou will have two demons that will fight alongside him as AI-controlled party members. While Raidou is the main party member of the game, your demons are much more versatile and should not be ignored.

Your demons can be very efficient at either supporting Raidou or even be the main damage dealers themselves with the right build. You have access to many demons in any battle, despite only having two out and fighting at a time; here’s how to switch out your active demons in and out of combat.

How to Switch Demons in Raidou Remastered

You can switch demons anytime in or out of combat without any cost or issue. Aside from the summoning animation, switching to a new demon only takes a few seconds but doesn’t cost any resources to do, so always feel free to switch out to the best option depending on what you’re facing. To switch your demons out in combat, select the bottom option of the menu along the bottom left corner of the screen.

Opening this menu will also pause combat for as long as you need.

Pressing this button will open a list of all your currently held demons, with their combat skills appearing on the left side of the screen. Scroll through the menu and select the demon you want to summon, and the following menu will display your currently summoned demons so you can select which one to replace. If a demon recently died, the open slot will appear as, “Unset”.

The new demon will be summoned right in front of Raidou and jump into battle, without you needing to do anything else. While you can revive a dead demon, they will still need to be resummoned with this same method. You can also decide which demons you’ll start in battle with by going to the main menu and selecting the, “Configuration” option. The two demons that appear directly under Raidou along the right side of the screen will be the ones that you start with in battle.

Is There XP Share in Raidou Remastered?

Raidou & His Demons Leveling Up After Combat

Yes, even unsummoned demons just in vials will get XP and Loyalty whenever you finish a battle, so there’s no need to switch through demons beyond doing so when you actually want that demon to fight. There is no bonus for a demon fighting alongside Raidou other than them getting to use their skills more often. As you progress through the game and unlock new titles, demons in vials that aren’t summoned can use some of their skills when not actively in battle, so it is still important to have powerful and loyal demons in your vials even if you don’t like how they fight.
