Nintendo Switch 2 Has 6 New Games Coming Out in July

To date, there are six games confirmed to be releasing for the Nintendo Switch 2 in July 2025, though it’s possible more will be announced in the near future. The Nintendo Switch 2 has been a runaway success since the console launched in June, selling over 3.5 million units right off the bat and continuing to fly off store shelves. The Switch 2 has accomplished this feat despite the fact that the vast majority of its games are readily available to play on other platforms.

Indeed, the Switch 2 launched with only five exclusive games. Mario Kart World is the system-seller for the console’s early days, joined by Bravely Default: Flying Fairy HD Remaster, the critically-panned Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour, the well-received futuristic racer Fast Fusion, and the rough-around-the-edges co-op survival game Survival Kids. Switch 2 early adopters may be ready for some new experiences, and luckily, there are already six games on deck for July 2025.

Switch 2 Owners Have At Least 4 More Exclusives to Look Forward to This Summer

Early adopters of the Nintendo Switch 2 have at least four more exclusive releases to look forward to before summer 2025 comes to an end.

The first new Switch 2 game coming in July 2025 is Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, dropping July 11. It will be followed by Donkey Kong Bananza on July 17 and Shadow Labyrinth on July 18. Then, Switch 2 gamers can look forward to Super Mario Party Jamboree Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV on July 24. Visual novel fans can mark their calendars for No Sleep for Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files on July 25. And finally, Wild Hearts S, the Switch 2 port of the Monster Hunter-style action-RPG, will also be releasing July 25.

List of Switch 2 Games Coming Soon

  • Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 – July 11
  • Donkey Kong Bananza – July 17
  • Shadow Labryinth – July 18
  • Super Mario Party Jamboree Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV – July 24
  • No Sleep For Kaname Date – From AI: The Somnium Files – July 25
  • Wild Hearts S – July 25

Out of all the new Switch 2 games coming in July 2025, there are two that stand out as particularly exciting for early adopters. Donkey Kong Bananza is the obvious headliner, giving fans their first 3D platformer Donkey Kong game in decades. Super Mario Party Jamboree Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV should also be of interest to Switch 2 fans, especially if they already own the original game. Super Mario Party Jamboree‘s Switch 2 upgrade includes system-exclusive content, including special mini-games that make use of the camera, and it will be available for $19.99 for existing owners.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 is one of the bigger multi-platform releases coming to the Switch 2 in July, and if it’s anything like its predecessor, it will be a solid remake of some classic Pro Skater courses. As far as multi-platform games go, Switch 2 owners may also want to keep an eye on Shadow Labyrinth. Shadow Labyrinth is a gritty re-imagining of Pac-Man that turns the franchise into an action-focused Metroidvania.

It’s entirely possible even more games will be announced for the Switch 2 in the near future. A Nintendo Direct is rumored to be happening soon – beyond the Donkey Kong Bananza Direct for June 18 – but for now, July is already looking pretty solid when it comes to Nintendo’s new home console/handheld hybrid.
