Xbox Game Pass is Adding a Call of Duty Game, 3 Warcraft Games, and More Soon

Another Call of Duty game has been confirmed to be joining Xbox Game Pass later this month, along with three iconic Warcraft games, a Tomb Raider title, and much more. With brand-new titles such as Rematch already set to join Xbox Game Pass this week, even more games have just been announced, making it a massive month for those subscribed to the popular service.

Shortly after Microsoft’s monumental acquisition of Activision-Blizzard was finalized for almost $69 billion, fans quickly began to question how long it would take for some of the studio’s most iconic titles to make their way to the service. With almost two years now passed since the acquisition, various Activision games such as Diablo 4, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023), Overwatch 2, and as of today, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time, have made their way to the service. Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 even became the first entry in the series to launch day one on Xbox Game Pass, but it looks like the studio is continuing to bring older Call of Duty titles to the service, as an iconic entry in the franchise will be joining Game Pass later this month.

The marketing campaign for Microsoft’s new gaming handheld, the ROG Xbox Ally, may cause a lot of confusion among casual consumers.

While Xbox had already confirmed that Game Pass would be adding titles such as FBC: Firebreak and Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time this month, even more titles have just been announced, including 2017’s Call of Duty: WW2, which will be joining the service on June 30. But before fans return to the iconic shooter from Sledgehammer Games, June 18 will see the addition of Star Trucker and Wildfrost, followed by the highly anticipated Rematch on June 19. If that wasn’t enough, Volcano Princess joins Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on June 24, with Against the Storm then hitting Game Pass Ultimate shortly after, on June 26. The full line-up of games, including the release date for three classic Warcraft games, can be found below.

Call of Duty: WW2‘s Xbox Game Pass debut marks the fourth game in the series to join the service. While Black Ops 6 remains the only Call of Duty game to join Game Pass at launch, 2022’s Modern Warfare 2 and 2023’s Modern Warfare 3 have also been added to the service. The addition of WW2 shows Activision and Microsoft will likely continue adding older Call of Duty titles to Game Pass, but many fans are still waiting for some of the series’ more iconic titles, such as the original Modern Warfare trilogy, World at War, Black Ops, and more, to be made available. There have been plenty of rumors suggesting older Call of Duty games will be coming to Xbox Game Pass in the future, but they have yet to be added.

With June already being a massive month for the service, subscribers are likely wondering what July could hold for Xbox Game Pass. Although there are still a few weeks left to go, next month will see even more massive titles join Xbox Game Pass at launch, including Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4, Wheel World, Wuchang: Fallen Feathers, and Grounded 2, which will be launching in early access on July 29. Fans can also likely expect plenty of other games to be announced as July approaches.
