One popular Fortnite leaker revealed multiple features that they claim to be under consideration by Epic Games, including limited-time modes, leaderboards, career profiles, and more. Fortnite recently concluded its Galactic Battle mini-season, which featured the battle royale’s largest collaboration with the Star Wars franchise so far. The mini-season proved to be so popular with fans of the franchise, that some people even started asking for it to be added as a permanent game mode.

Following the finale of the Death Star Sabotage live event, Epic Games kicked off Chapter 6 Season 3 of Fortnite, which shifted the battle royale’s focus to superheroes. In addition to adding skins of Robin and Superman to the title, players have been given the ability to collect Hero Items in the middle of a match. These Hero Items come with powerful abilities that help with everything from movement to combat. For instance, the Bass Boost item allows players to leap to incredible heights and land without taking damage. The item can also deal a significant blow to structures, though it was recently nerfed to limit its environmental damage.

Fortnite Players Want a Permanent Star Wars Game Mode

In a recent post on Twitter, HYPEX shared a wide variety of features that may be coming to Fortnite in the future, as the leaker claimed Epic Games is currently considering adding them to the popular battle royale. One of the features mentions “unlockable shops,” which could function similarly to the Darth Jar Jar cosmetics. In order to purchase the Darth Jar Jar skin when it made its debut in the Item Shop, players were required to earn over one million XP during the Galactic Battle mini-season. It was a decision that made waves in the community, as some people didn’t appreciate the character being gated behind any requirement outside of purchasing it with V-Bucks.
