Borderlands 4 Adding Helpful Quality of Life Feature

Borderlands 4 is set to make a helpful change to the game’s Skill Tree with the fourth main-series game’s release, allowing players to quickly invest in multi-point skills. Gearbox Software has been giving fans plenty of reason to be excited about the release of Borderlands 4, showing off a plethora of teasers for the upcoming sequel. Much like past games, Borderlands 4 will introduce an entirely new cast of Vault Hunters, even bringing players to a brand-new planet for the fourth numbered entry. Now, a helpful new change to Borderlands 4 is being teased.

Borderlands 4 looks to be breaking free from several franchise traditions with its release, in more ways than just its new setting. While Borderlands has always included elements of role-playing games within its chaotic run-and-gun action, Borderlands 4 looks to be steeped more into RPG elements than ever before. Borderlands 4 is said to include a deep and customizable skill tree system, alongside allowing players to mix and match parts from different manufacturers for their guns. One particular new change is looking to streamline an aspect of Borderlands 4‘s skill trees.

Borderlands 4 Missing One Character Could Be a Blessing in Disguise

A fan favorite character seems to be missing from the Borderlands 4 roster, but this absence could have a major silver lining.

A new update shared by Borderlands content creator JoltzDude139 is teasing a notable change coming to Borderlands 4‘s skill trees. The image shows a new option presented when leveling skills in Borderlands 4, allowing players to “Invest Maximum Points” into a particular skill. The change is expected to allow players to quickly max out skills they find important to their particular playstyle, potentially hinting at an easier “re-speccing” process and a possible increase in available skill points. Borderlands 4 is currently scheduled to release on September 12.

Borderlands 4 Adding Helpful Change to Skill Trees

The helpful change to skill trees likely suggests that Borderlands 4 will have a much deeper skill tree system than previous entries in the franchise. While skill trees have been a staple of Borderlands since the franchise’s inception, past Borderlands games have typically featured more linear skill trees for each class. Borderlands 4‘s skill trees have already taken major strides from the game’s early teasers, featuring a much larger skill tree with more options for players to create their own unique build.

With just a few months remaining until Borderlands 4‘s long-awaited release, the game has seen plenty of major new announcements. Alongside the new setting and Vault Hunters, Borderlands 4 will include three new weapons manufacturers, introducing Order, Ripper, and Daedalus to the franchise. Gearbox has also confirmed that Borderlands 4 will be available on the Nintendo Switch 2 on launch day, making the jump to the new Nintendo platform. Borderlands 4 is set to break bold new ground for the franchise when it releases this September.
