How To Get Granite Stone In Dune Awakening

Construction is one of the core gameplay mechanics of Dune Awakening, and players will be doing a lot of it to construct their ideal base in the desert of Arrakis. Granite is one of the key early resources that you’ll need to gather in order to make your first few bases. Depending on the size of your base, you’ll either need some small amounts or tons of it. Here’s a quick and easy way to find and mine Granite Stone in the game.

Health is a vital stat that players need to keep an eye on to avoid losing their inventory on death in Dune Awakening, here’s how to heal.

Where to Find Granite Stone Deposits in Dune Awakening

Granite Stone is one of the most abundant resources in Dune: Awakening, used for constructing the CHOAM Shelter and (most of) the Facility building sets. While players can find Granite Stone deposits across the entire map, South Hagga Basin has the most abundant supply of the resource. Fortunately, South Hagga Basin is exactly where players will be when they start a new game on a server, so it’ll be easier for you to collect it.

First of all, players will need to survey an area using a probe to mark all the Granite deposit locations on the map. Once the survey is complete, open up the map and check the little rock icons near you to find the nearest Granite Deposit. You might need to climb the rock formations a bit to reach them, especially in the starting area.

How to Mine Granite Stones

Once you arrive at a Granite Stone deposit, there will be two ways you can acquire the resource. One is either picking up the smaller Granite Stones on the ground, which will amount to one stone per pick. However, the best way to mine Granite Stones is by using a Cutteray.

At the start of the game, you’ll be able to craft an Improvised Cutteray from the character’s Crafting menu. It won’t yield the best Granite Stones from the deposits, but it’ll be a great option to get a base running. As you progress further and discover more resources, you’ll be able to build stronger versions of the Cutteray, i.e., MK1, MK2, MK4, and so on.

As the level of the Cutteray gets higher, it’ll get you the most yield out of single deposits, and also allow you to mine other resources like iron and aluminum ores.
