The game created by ex-DICE developers stood out for its destructible maps and fast-paced gameplay. As a result, The Finals’ popularity on platforms like Steam surged, where it reached almost 250,000 concurrent players shortly after its launch. While the player count has dropped substantially since its initial success, the game continues to receive seasonal updates that keep some fans coming back.

According to SteamDB data, The Finals peaked at 28,866 players on June 12, coinciding with the launch of the new seasonal update. This was roughly a 10,000-player increase from the average daily peaks before June 12. As of the time of writing, the game has 24,794 concurrent players. It is worth noting that The Finals is also available on PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S. Those platforms likely saw a similar spike, meaning the active player base for the FPS title has seen a substantial increase.
