Where to Get Agave Seeds in Dune: Awakening

Arrakis is a dangerous place in Dune: Awakening, but you can harvest resources to craft protective equipment in order to make desert life a bit more manageable. In addition to sandworms and bandits, the sands are also home to crashed shipwrecks that can leak radiation into surrounding areas. If you want to explore these radiated zones in Dune: Awakening, you’ll need to collect some Agave Seeds in order to craft Iodine Pills.

Iodine Pills are quite difficult to craft at first in Dune: Awakening since they not only require Agave Seeds, but also Duraluminum Ingots, a late-game ore that can only be found in the harshest regions of the desert. Thankfully, they’re guaranteed to appear in certain regions of Arrakis. As long as you have a vehicle like a sandbike and some basic supplies, you can make the trek to the specified regions whenever you like. You’ll still need some upgraded tools to mine the metals you need, but Agave Seeds can be harvested by hand without any equipment.

Agave Seed Locations in Dune: Awakening

Agave Seeds can be found in The O’odham, the northwestern region of the map. They can be harvested from the cacti that grow in The O’odham, but not every cactus will have seeds to grab. Agave Seeds can only be harvested from small flowering cacti, not the fully-grown cacti that are all over the place.

These flowering cacti are quite rare in The O’odham, but you’ll have a good chance of encountering them along the northern edge of the region. The northern border of The O’odham is home to some bandit camps, but it’s nothing you can’t handle if you have good enough equipment to survive a trip across the desert in the first place. The craggy cliffs where these bandits are hiding out have a ton of flowering cacti with Agave Seeds waiting to be picked. They’re marked on the map with a specific icon, too.

Each cactus will only give you a few seeds, though, so you’ll need to find a few of them if you want to take advantage of their anti-radiation properties in Iodine Pills. Each pill requires 10 Agave Seeds along with some other rare resources, so grab as many as you can and be careful when heading back to your base. The last thing you want is to lose your entire backpack in a sandworm’s stomach.
