Developer Warhorse Studios is expanding its operations with a new office in Brno, Czech Republic, to bolster work on future Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 DLCs. Set in 15th-century Bohemia, known today as the Czech Republic, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 features historically accurate representations of various real-life locations in the development team’s own backyard. With its headquarters located in Prague, it makes sense for the studio to expand its operations in the Czech Republic.
Since its February 4 release, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 has received praise from both critics and players alike, solidifying itself as a massively successful second outing for Warhorse. Just three months after its launch, Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 sold over 3 million copies, outpacing its predecessor’s initial sales numbers. In that time, the game has also received multiple free updates, including a Hardcore Mode, modding support, and a barbershop for further customizing Henry’s look.

Warhorse Studios is opening a new office in Brno on July 1 to amplify future support for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 and its remaining two story DLCs, “Legacy of the Force” and “Mysteria Ecclesiae.” The first story DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, “Brushes with Death,” was released alongside a major update in May. “Legacy of the Forge,” which will see Henry learn of his adoptive father’s past, is planned to release in autumn. “Mysteria Ecclesiae,” an expansion set in a Sedlec monastery, is scheduled to follow sometime in winter.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Developer Warhorse Studios to Open New Office
The new office’s location has an interesting tie to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2‘s story. Brno is the former capital of Moravia, the same region that Lord Semine and his relatives hail from. Part of the Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Wedding Crashers quest sees Henry dealing with Lord Semine’s family while waiting for the wedding to start. Although Henry does not visit the region in the base game, perhaps the new Brno studio hints at a future setting for an upcoming Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 DLC.
Warhorse Studios’ planned expansion paints a positive picture of the developer’s future. With its game smashing sales expectations and its team actively growing in an industry fraught with studio closures and layoffs, it would not come as a shock should Warhorse announce a sequel to Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, whether that entails a continuation of Henry’s adventures or a new story entirely.
