The Pokemon Company has announced a Pokemon collaboration with The Hershey Company to deliver a brand-new chocolate collection featuring pocket monsters from the Kanto region, which is the best generation in many fans’ opinions. Pokemon collectors from the 90s will remember the nostalgic candy options on store shelves that often featured the face of Pikachu, or starters Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, on candy wrappers, packaging, and even lollipops.

The latest addition to Nintendo’s video game catalog will be Pokemon Legends: Z-A, when it releases on October 16, 2025, which serves as a sequel to 2013’s Pokemon X and Y and the second game in the Pokemon Legends series, following 2022’s Arceus. Pokemon Legends: Z-A pre-orders are currently live, and trainers can bag a free starter plushie when they reserve their copy of the new game.

The union between The Pokemon Company and The Hershey Company has confirmed that specially marked Hershey’s full-size and snack-size bars, as well as Kisses, will feature Pokemon from the Kanto region. The new collection is expected to drop this summer and will showcase 12 different designs on full-size bars with Pokemon and Poke Balls in the spotlight, and 18 designs on snack-size bars. Additionally, trainers and chocolate lovers can collect all 151 Kanto Pokemon on the foil wrappers of Hershey’s Kisses. Pokemon fans have been making Kanto-themed chocolate pops and other candies for years, but an official collaboration with one of the largest chocolate brands in the world sounds like a good excuse for trainers to indulge their sweet tooth.

Kanto Pokemon Will Appear on Hershey’s Chocolate Bars and Kisses in New Collaboration

Some of the best Kanto Pokemon make an appearance in Scarlet and Violet, including Pikachu, Gengar, and Scyther, and fans are excited to start collecting their Hershey’s Kisses. Die-hard Pokemon trainers can even log which Pokemon Kisses they’ve found through the Hershey’s website, and as an extra treat, interested parties can also sign up for the chance to win a limited-edition Collector’s Case to store the collected Kisses in. However, winners will need to find a cool place to store them.

With the Pokemon and Hershey’s collaboration releasing this summer, fans also have the Pokemon Fossil Museum’s US appearance to look forward to. Still, there’s quite a long wait involved for that adventure. The once-Japan-exclusive museum features life-sized replicas of Pokemon skeletons that are then compared to fossils from the real world, and the goal of the exhibit is to educate fans about Paleontology through pocket monsters.
