Developer Neowiz’s popular Soulslike Lies of P is available on the PlayStation Store for 50% off its base price until June 19. The gritty re-imagining of Carlo Collodi’s The Adventures of Pinocchio sees players guiding a puppet created by Geppetto called P through the corrupted city of Krat during the French pre-World War 2 era known as Belle Époque. Lies of P offers an experience strikingly similar to typical FromSoftware-developed games, in particular drawing comparisons from Soulslike fans to the 2015 PlayStation 4 classic Bloodborne.
Neowiz shadow-dropped the first story DLC for Lies of P during Geoff Keighley’s Summer Game Fest 2025, offering an expansion of the story and a new boss rush mode for longtime fans to enjoy. Positioned as a prequel to the base game, Lies of P: Overture sees P and his friendly guide Gemini sent back in time to experience the Puppet Frenzy massacre and uncover the events leading up to the city of Krat’s eventual downfall. Lies of P: Overture adds new enemies for P to conquer and 10 more exciting weapons for players to experiment with, including the powerful Royal Horn Bow and the Death’s Talon sword.
