Elden Ring Nightreign brings over every weapon from its predecessor, and that includes all of Elden Ring‘s legendary weapons. As the name suggests, these are the strongest weapons that you can find in Elden Ring Nightreign. There’s no guarantee you’ll find one during an Expedition, however, and you may not end up with the best one for your character if you do.
Legendary weapons can be the difference between victory and defeat in Elden Ring Nightreign if you use them correctly, so you should set aside some time at the end of an Expedition to seek them out. They only appear once you’re a high enough level, though, so your group won’t be able to get any if you fall behind during the first two days of a run.

How to Get Legendary Weapons in Elden Ring Nightreign
Legendary weapons are random drops in Elden Ring Nightreign. Since the game is a roguelike, all of the weapons and equipment you get for beating bosses vary from run to run. Legendary weapons are more likely to be rewarded from tougher bosses at higher levels, though, so you should try to conquer castles and other large POIs during the second day of an Expedition to maximize your chances of obtaining a legendary weapon.
The best way to secure a legendary weapon drop is to slay field bosses once you and your team have reached level 10. Field bosses are marked on the map for easy discovery, and the ones with red borders are particularly powerful. If you take them down, there’s a good chance at least one of your party members will walk away with a legendary weapon.
Some Expeditions also give you the chance to upgrade an existing weapon to legendary rarity. When you see a notification about a Shifting Earth event happening in The Crater before an Expedition, a special area will appear that lets you upgrade your weapons to their legendary variants.
At the bottom of the Crater is a special smithing table that upgrades your weapons to legendary rarity. You can only use legendary weapons after reaching level 10, so don’t head there too early.
