Superman’s Cape Is Causing Issues in Fortnite

Summary

  • Fortnite players are experiencing issues with Superman’s cape distribution in Chapter 6 Season 3.
  • The Battle Bundle for Chapter 6 Season 3 allows players to purchase early access to the Superman skin.
  • Some players are claiming Epic Games mistakenly revoked Superman’s original cape from Chapter 2 Season 7.

According to numerous reports, Fortnite is having trouble distributing Superman’s new cape to the correct players in Chapter 6 Season 3. Fortnite recently launched a new superhero-themed season, which has brought iconic characters like Superman and Robin to the island. While this is Robin’s first appearance in the battle royale, another version of Superman was included in the battle pass for Chapter 2 Season 7.

Epic Games recently made a big change to Fortnite‘s battle pass for Chapter 6 Season 3, which allows players to purchase early access to its Superman skin for 1,800 V-Bucks. In the past, certain skins (like Godzilla) have been locked to a specific date near the middle of the season. While players can earn or purchase every other skin in the battle pass, they’ve always had to wait for this special skin to release. As of Chapter 6 Season 3, players can purchase a Battle Bundle in the shop, which grants players 25 levels of rewards and gives them instant access to the Superman skin, which is scheduled to release for all battle pass owners on July 11. The ability to purchase 25 levels has been in the game for a long time, but this is the first time it has come with an extra incentive.

At the beginning of Chapter 6 Season 3, some players were claiming that, after purchasing the new Superman skin in Fortnite, Epic Games gave them the Superman cape from Chapter 2 Season 7. In a recent post on Reddit, CorptanSpecklez stated that Epic Games gave them the correct Superman cape after purchasing the hero through the Battle Bundle, but revoked their original Chapter 2 Season 7 cape. According to them, they own both skins and should have access to both capes. This seems to be an ongoing issue with Superman in Chapter 6 Season 3 of Fortnite. According to ShiinaBR, numerous players claim to have had a similar experience after purchasing the new Superman skin.

Fortnite Is Having Trouble Distributing Superman’s New Cape

Over on Twitter, iFireMonkey claimed that, instead of removing Superman’s Chapter 2 Season 7 cape from Fortnite players who were given it by accident, Epic Games removed it from fans who owned it originally. FortniteStatus has stated that Epic Games is actively looking into the issues surrounding Superman’s cape.

In addition to adding a skin for the Man of Steel, some sprites in Fortnite are now wearing a small Superman costume. Players who pick up the fan-favorite creatures can use them to attack nearby enemies, as the Superman sprites have the ability to shoot lasers from their eyes.

Epic Games’ extensive collaboration with the upcoming Superman film has even brought the dog Krypto to Fortnite. Players can use a special dog treat like a grenade to summon Krypto. When the dog lands, he will deal damage to any nearby enemies. With a whole new season to explore and even more content on the way, many fans are feeling optimistic about the future of Fortnite.
