Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 will feature a Jack Black cameo, Activision has confirmed. The day-one Xbox Game Pass title will see the Hollywood star reprise his role of Officer Dick, in addition to portraying one other character.
Jack Black first played Officer Dick in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, released in 2020. Behind-the-scenes footage previously shared by Activision shows the actor recalling how developer Vicarious Visions approached him with the role—an offer he not only accepted but insisted on doing it for free. “I don’t want you to pay me anything,” he explained, adding that he adores the Tony Hawk’s series and never imagined he’d have the chance to appear in one of its games 20 years ago.

Officer Dick Has ‘Evolved’ Between the Last Two Tony Hawk’s Games
Jack Black’s character in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2 was presented as a school security guard and a bona fide skater hater. “Now he’s evolved, as his power trip has gone into becoming the campus security sheriff of a college,” game director Kurt Tillmanns told Variety. In Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, Officer Dick was unlocked by completing every Create-A-Skater Challenge. The mechanics of unlocking him or his British counterpart in Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 3 + 4 are yet to be disclosed.
Jack Black’s involvement in the upcoming remasters continues the long-standing franchise tradition of offbeat, memorable celebrity cameos. Over the years, Tony Hawk’s games have featured both real celebs—like Billie Joe Armstrong and Gene Simmons—and famous fictional characters, including Wolverine, Spider-Man, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Doom Guy.
