A new Genshin Impact leak has revealed the potential release dates and team composition roles of two popular characters, Varka and Alice, who are expected to join the roster in the next couple of months. With the Natlan arc slowly coming to an end, Genshin Impact fans are excited to see what the next major region might bring.

The addition of a new major region is always the most exciting annual event in the world of Genshin Impact, as it introduces tons of new content, including new explorable terrain, playable characters, and compelling storylines. Even though HoYoverse has yet to officially confirm which new region will arrive, their recent teasers have provided multiple hints about where the main storyline is heading with the release of update 6.0.

Genshin Impact 5.8 Leak Finally Reveals Ineffa’s Appearance

A new Genshin Impact leak reveals the model of a new five-star character named Ineffa, who is expected to arrive in the upcoming version 5.8.

Over the last couple of months, HoYoverse has released multiple promotions suggesting that Nod-Krai will be the first region players get to explore in the next major update. Along with these announcements, Genshin Impact revealed some legendary characters who are expected to finally join the playable roster after years of speculation. Among these characters, two have definitely stood out: Varka and Alice. A credible Genshin Impact leaker known as Team Mew has revealed some interesting details about Varka, Alice, and another unknown character named Nicole. According to the leak, Varka will be a new Anemo DPS expected to arrive in Version 6.5. Nicole will be a Cryo support joining in 6.6, while Alice is described as a Pyro DPS set to arrive in 6.7, which should be released around this time next year.

Varka has been mentioned since Genshin Impact’s release, and he is known as the Grandmaster of the Knights of Favonius and Mondstadt’s main protector. However, despite being referenced on numerous occasions, players have yet to officially meet Varka, as he is currently away on an expedition to the north. Genshin Impact‘s Nod-Krai region is expected to be located north of the City of Mondstadt, which suggests players will likely get to explore more of the Anemo region.

Considering that Varka is one of the most important Mondstadt characters overall, it wouldn’t be surprising if he becomes a new Anemo character in Genshin Impact, as it’s the region’s symbolic element. According to Genshin Impact’s official storyline, Alice is described as one of the most powerful mages in all of Teyvat, which might hint that she will be a catalyst user, just like her daughter Klee.

Varka and Alice being DPS units makes sense, as HoYoverse usually assigns this team role to its most popular characters. That said, these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt. Players will get more official information about the characters once Genshin Impact update 6.0 arrives.
