A new report from Sega indicates that titles such as Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven may not be released before April 2026, which could be disappointing for fans. Developed by Atlus and the Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, respectively, Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven are some of the most eagerly awaited titles published by Sega, and it seems that fans may need to wait a while before they can play them.
Both of these games were featured during the week of Summer Game Fest 2025. Persona 4 Revival will be a remake in the same vein as Persona 3 Reload, and it was originally announced during the Xbox Games Showcase 2025. Stranger Than Heaven, on the other hand, was initially unveiled as Project Century during The Game Awards 2024 and then revealed with the official name during Summer Game Fest 2025.

Now, a fiscal report from Sega, spotted by Shuinobi602, has indicated that neither of these games will be released before April 2026. In a picture of the report, it’s possible to see some games being published by Sega, and Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven appear as “announced titles to be released in or after FY2027.” The Japanese 2027 fiscal year lasts from April 2026 to March 2027, so this means that these games could be launched from April 2026 onwards. Unfortunately, it’s still a vague release window, and these titles could still be delayed.
Persona 4 Revival and Stranger Than Heaven Won’t Be Out Before April 2026
Despite this information coming from Sega’s financial reports, it’s important to keep in mind that plans can change. In addition, it’s possible that these projects may still be delayed. The information is consistent with previous rumors, too, which have already indicated that Persona 4 Revival could be out in the second half of 2026.
Not much is currently known about Stranger Than Heaven, though. Most of the information gamers currently have about it comes from the two trailers Stranger Than Heaven has already received, one set in 1915 and the other in 1943. The title, which will be set in Japan, will likely span multiple years, and some gamers have already discovered indications that the story could take place in 1929, too. Sega has also showcased a bit of the game’s combat and given gamers a glimpse of Stranger Than Heaven’s protagonist. Time will tell whether Stranger Than Heaven will be out in 2026 or not, though, considering even in the official reports it appears “to be released in or after FY2027.”
