Grow a Garden: All Bee Swarm Crops (& How to Get Them)
With Grow a Garden’s 1.08.0 update, eight new bee swarm crops joined the seed collection; here’s how to get them and how valuable they are.
How to Get Bee Swarm Event Pets in Grow a Garden
There are five bee pets you can collect from the Bee Swarm event and make a permanent part of your garden. These bees give two exclusive mutations to your plants, and they’ll keep doing so even after the event wraps up, which makes them pretty handy to have around (we’ll cover that more below).
To get a Bee Swarm pet in Grow a Garden, you’ll need to buy a Bee Egg from the Honey Shop. Each one costs 18 jars of Honey or 129 Robux. If you’re low on honey, this guide can help you replenish your supply. While the Honey Shop is always accessible by interacting with the Queen Bee floating on the event platform, the Bee Egg isn’t always in stock. You’ll need to check back every 60 minutes, or you can join GaG’s official Discord server for live stock updates from other players.
Once you get your hands on a Bee Egg, place it in your garden. It will hatch into one of the five event pet bees after about 4 hours and 10 minutes. You can speed up the hatch time using pets like Kiwi, Rooster, Chicken, and others.
Here are the odds of getting each Bee Swarm pet from a Bee Egg in Grow a Garden:
All GaG Bees |
Obtainment Chance |
Bee |
65% |
Honey Bee |
25% |
Bear Bee |
5% |
Petal Bee |
4% |
Queen Bee |
1% |
You’re more likely to hatch Bees or Honey Bees from your Bee Eggs than the other three pets, so be sure to open several (around 100 on average) if you’re aiming to collect them all, especially the Queen Bee.

Grow a Garden: Best Pets Tier List
Grow a Garden has added many adorable pets that give your crops some great perks; here’s the list of the most to least valuable ones.
All Bee Swarm Pet Abilities in Grow a Garden
As mentioned above, Bee Swarm pets specialize in giving your fruits two event mutations: Pollinated and HoneyGlazed. These special variants can boost your crop’s sell value by three and five times, respectively. The best part is that their abilities aren’t limited to the event, so you can still grow these mutated plants anytime.
The table below breaks down the specific abilities of each Bee Swarm pet in Grow a Garden:
All Bee Pets |
Rarity |
Traits |
Bee |
Common |
These bees find a random plant roughly every 24:45 minutes and apply the Pollinated Mutation on it, making it three times more valuable. If you age your bees, their ability cooldown will shorten, and they’ll pollinate fruits faster. You can do so by feeding them or by placing any version of Owls in your garden, since they give active pets constant EXP. |
Honey Bee |
Rare |
Similar to regular bees, Honey Bees trigger the Pollinated Mutation on nearby plants (one at a time) every 19:43 minutes. Their ability cooldown can also be reduced by upgrading them. The main difference lies in the ability timer. |
Bear Bee |
Mythical |
The Bear Bee is unique in that it resembles a bear and can’t even fly. In Grow a Garden, the Bear Bee gives fruit the HoneyGlazed mutation every 25 minutes (which boosts its sell value by 5x). Basically, it’s a walking Honey Sprinkler and the only pet in Grow a Garden that can force the HoneyGlazed variant. |
Petal Bee |
Legendary |
This bee gives the closest fruit the Pollinated Mutation every 24:49 minutes. Since it’s a floral bee, Petal Bee also blesses you with a 1.13% chance that your flower fruits will hang on the plant even if you pick them. These include Purple Dahlia, Pink Lily, Lilac, Sunflower, and more. |
Queen Bee |
Divine |
Similarly, the Queen Bee grants one of your fruits the Pollinated Mutation every 24:37 minutes while wandering your farm. Its special ability is that it can reset a random pet’s cooldown, allowing the pet to use its trait immediately, no matter how much time was left on its ability timer. The Queen Bee does this every 29:37 minutes. |
