The Glowshard is a rather interesting item in Deltarune. Here are all the possible ways you can use a Glowshard.

How to Get Dark Dollars in Deltarune Quickly

Win Battles With High TP

The main way to earn Dark Dollars is by winning battles in Deltarune. Any remaining Tension Points (TP) you have at the end of a battle are converted into D$. TP is the resource used for Act commands, defending, and certain spells. The more TP you have left over when a battle ends, the more bonus D$ you will receive.

This is also a great way to farm Dark Dollars. Some enemies reappear in certain areas of Deltarune. If you keep fighting and defeating these recurring enemies, the game provides an incentive by giving you extra D$ each time you beat them. Plus, when you defeat an enemy that is currently under the “frozen” status, you receive an additional 24 D$ on top of their normal reward and any TP conversion.

Defending yourself is the main way to build Tension Points quickly. If you’re not in danger of being defeated, consider defending for a few turns to boost your TP before ending the battle.

Sell Items To Shopkeepers

Another great way to get D$ is by selling your items and equipment to shopkeepers (except Spamton). All purchasable items, except for Dark Candy, have a selling price of half their purchase price. As such, if you bought something for 1000 D$, you can sell it back for 500 D$.

Explore The Dark Worlds

Lastly, you can find hidden caches of Dark Dollars scattered across the Dark Worlds. Here are some of the best places to get more D$ while exploring:

Card Kingdom

  • Forest Treasure: Head to the room just east of the Bake Sale in the Forest. There, you’ll find a chest containing 40 D$.
  • Starwalker’s Luster: Explore the area far east from the Bake Sale into the Maze. If you approach this room from the east, ring the bell, and then chase down the walking part of the Starwalker Bird and interact with it, you’ll receive 40 D$ from “Starwalker’s ambient luster” with each interaction.

Cyber World

  • Cyber City Trash Cans: In the room right before Noelle joins your party, check the trash can for 20 D$. Plus, before your second battle with Berdly in Deltarune, the preceding room holds two trash cans, one with 20 D$ and another with 80 D$.
  • Queen’s Mansion Secret: On floor B1 of the Queen’s Mansion, a hidden chest holds 1 D$.
