Star Rail Unveils Second Character for Version 3.5

Honkai: Star Rail has revealed Cerydra as the second five-star character debuting in Version 3.5. Since the release of Amphoreus, Honkai: Star Rail has steadily added new units to the playable roster every patch, all of them members of the powerful Chrysos Heirs.

An exciting chapter is soon beginning for Honkai: Star Rail as the game prepares to launch its 3.4 update. The developers have confirmed a new Honkai: Star Rail special livestream for June 20 to share more information about Phainon’s playable release and other major events. However, the game recently gave fans a glimpse of what’s to come in later patches, including the next playable Chrysos Heirs.

Honkai: Star Rail publisher Cognosphere files a lawsuit against a player and is suing them for about $150,000 for their alleged violation.

Through its official social media channels, Honkai: Star Rail has unveiled Cerydra for Version 3.5, likely for the update’s second phase. She will be a 5-Star Wind character of the Harmony Path. According to her description, she is a Chrysos Heir and demigod of the law, with her Coreflame tied to the titan Talaton. Cerydra’s outfit has a light blue color palette with mismatching shoes. She also wears a crown and carries a scepter, which might relate to her chess motifs. Cerydra’s reveal comes after Honkai: Star Rail announced Hysilens, another 5-star unit debuting in the 3.5 update.

Who is Honkai: Star Rail’s Cerydra?

Cerydra has been mentioned in-game in Aglaea, Tribbie, and Cipher’s character story sheets, as well as some readable documents found in Amphoreus. Years before the game’s current events, Cerydra led an army that protected Okhema from three allied city-states that tried to overtake it. With Hysilens support, Cerydra ended the Chrysos War, declared herself ruler of Okhema, and set the start of the Flame-Chase Journey. It is said that Cerydra’s efforts led to Okhema’s current prosperity, but after her army suffered a harsh defeat, she became very obstinate and eventually disappeared from the public eye. Earlier leaks about Cerydra’s kit in Honkai: Star Rail teased that she would be a strong support for Phainon, though she could also boost allies’ Memosprites.

With Cerydra and Hysilens’ announcements, the only unrevealed Chrysos Heirs left are the Earth and Time demigods, which might be confirmed in later Honkai: Star Rail patches. On the other hand, the upcoming Version 3.4 is not only featuring Phainon’s banner, but also Saber and Archer from Honkai: Star Rail‘s collaboration with Fate/Stay Night. HoYoverse will share more details about the crossover characters during its next special program.
