Mario Kart World App Makes Exploring the Open World Way More Fun

Following the launch of Mario Kart World, a new app has been released that makes exploring in Free Roam more enjoyable. As the latest installment in the racing series, Mario Kart World has made some significant changes to the experience fans have come to expect over the years.

Among the biggest changes is a massive open world. While modes like Grand Prix and Knockout Tour have players race across different environments to get from one course to the next, Free Roam dials things back. In this mode, players can explore all the nooks and crannies of the game’s various locations at their leisure, allowing them to search for Peach Medallions and Question Mark Panels. In addition, numerous P Switches can be found in Mario Kart World that offer missions to complete in a short amount of time. While these objectives are there to encourage players to continue exploring, some have found the process tedious due to the absence of tools to help figure out what is left to complete. Fortunately, a new app makes Free Roam more fun.

Mario Kart World’s Outfits Could Be Hiding a Massive Secret About Nintendo’s Future

While the introduction of outfits might not have been the biggest of Mario Kart World’s new features, it could be the key to future Super Mario games.

As spotted by GVG, a new iOS app called MK World Travel Guide makes searching for collectibles and challenges more manageable. The third-party app, created by Jeffrey Kuiken, features an interactive map and displays points of interest, including P Switches, Medallions, Diners, and courses. Users can also add notes and place pins, helping keep things organized while exploring in Mario Kart World‘s Free Roam. It is worth noting that MK World Travel Guide contains no ads, and users can unlock all the features with a one-time purchase of $1.99. Currently, there does not appear to be an Android version of the app available.

MK World Travel Guide App Makes Free Roam Better

One of the issues players have had with Mario Kart World’s open world is the lack of features for tracking their progress. MK World Travel Guide should make this much easier and more fun, as users can check off completed P Switches and Medallions as they play through the game. In addition, the app has a spoiler-free option, making the locations on the map hidden until marked by the user. As highlighted by GVG, the app options can also be adjusted to only display the P Switches that still need to be completed, helping to reduce visual clutter.

It’s nice to see an option to let players better explore the open world in Mario Kart World. Similar to the way Zelda Notes works, MK World Travel Guide requires the use of another device, which could be inconvenient for some players. Nevertheless, the features available with this app could be a game-changer for those wanting to get the most out of Free Roam.
