June 17 was always going to be an exciting day for PlayStation Plus subscribers, but a recent announcement has given subscribers even more to look forward to. PlayStation Plus subscribers should know by now to expect updates to the Extra and Premium tiers of the service around the middle of every month, and June 2025 is no exception to the rule.
However, there are times when PlayStation Plus games are announced well in advance. Typically, this happens with day one PS Plus games, and was indeed the case with co-op game FBC: Firebreak. FBC: Firebreak was confirmed as a day one PS Plus Extra game months ago, letting fans know that they could look forward to playing it on Tuesday, June 17. Having a day one game added to PS Plus made ensured that June 17 was already going to be an exciting day for the subscription service, but now the full lineup of Extra and Premium games has been revealed.

PlayStation Plus subscribers should definitely make sure that they circle Tuesday, June 17 on their calendars.
FBC: Firebreak will be joined by Battlefield 2042, Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes, Endless Dungeon, Five Nights at Freddy’s: Help Wanted 2, theHunter: Call of the Wild, Train Sim World 5, and We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie in the PS Plus Extra tier update on June 17, while Deus Ex: The Conspiracy is making its way to the Premium tier. Admittedly, this isn’t the biggest PS Plus update this year, but FBC: Firebreak being a day one game combined with the addition of these other titles should still make it an especially exciting day for PlayStation Plus subscribers that are signed up for the Extra and Premium tiers of the service.

These new game additions will no doubt be appreciated by PlayStation Plus subscribers, but it’s also worth pointing out that a handful of games will be removed from PS Plus Extra and Premium on that same day. After Us, AVICII Invector, Inscryption, Kayak VR Mirage, Monster Hunter Rise, and Rogue Legacy 2 are all leaving PS Plus on June 17, so subscribers are running out of time to play them. Out of all the games leaving PS Plus Extra and Premium that day, I recommend subscribers prioritize Inscryption, Monster Hunter Rise, and Rogue Legacy 2.
PS Plus subscribers can also check out the free PS Plus games for June 2025, available until July 7.
After June 17, the next day that PS Plus subscribers will want to pay attention to is Wednesday, June 25. Unless PlayStation shakes things up, that will be the day that the free PS Plus games for August 2025 are revealed.
