Hello Games has rolled out the second minor update for No Man’s Sky following the release of the game’s new Beacon update earlier in June, which focused on overhauling the game’s planetary settlements and associated mechanics. Fans have pointed out a variety of bugs in No Man’s Sky since its most recent major content update, and Hello Games has been quick to solve many of the most immediate issues the game has faced across all platforms, including the recently-released Nintendo Switch 2.
The developers behind No Man’s Sky continue to show their dedication to their ever-evolving space exploration adventure title even nine years after its initial launch, with many of the game’s immediate issues following the launch of its latest update being addressed across two minor patches within the span of a week. No Man’s Sky‘s recent Beacon update marks the game’s 38th major content drop, introducing new types of planetary settlements, new functionality and features available for player-owned settlements, a variety of valuable quality-of-life options, and more.

No Man’s Sky: Why You Should Start Over in 2025
No Man’s Sky has been around for nearly a decade, and both newcomers and longtime players would benefit from jumping in this year.
Hello Games recently dropped version 5.72 of No Man’s Sky, which is currently live on Steam and soon to be pushed to other platforms as well. The patch brings a number of bug fixes to No Man’s Sky that are largely related to issues introduced by the Beacon update, including a particularly problematic one which could occasionally block players from discovering Autophage settlements. The patch also fixes a number of render and camera-related issues, a couple of rare issues that can result in game crashes, and also introduces a change that optimizes memory usage for the Nintendo Switch 2 edition of the game.
Some of No Man’s Sky’s Issues on the Switch 2 May Still Be at Large
The launch of No Man’s Sky‘s Nintendo Switch 2 edition coincided with the recent release of the Beacon update, and marks yet another new platform that the game can be played on. Switch 2 players that own the original Nintendo Switch version of No Man’s Sky can upgrade to the Switch 2 version at no additional cost. The Nintendo Switch 2 edition of No Man’s Sky is complete with the game’s full range of features, boasting full multiplayer and cross-save functionality as well as superior performance and graphical fidelity.
That said, it seems that Hello Games is still working on fixes for some Nintendo Switch 2-specific issues that fans have been facing, including a common bug that prevents players from connecting to multiplayer services in No Man’s Sky. Hello Games has confirmed that it’s aware of several other unresolved issues, so fans may need to wait a little longer for solutions to bugs they may still be encountering.
